A dedication service for a new eco-friendly church building took place in Scotland last night.
The service, led by Rt. Rev. David Lunan, was held at Bridge of Allan Church to dedicate the new church building to God.
Four years ago two churches in Bridge of Allan merged, and the new congregation pledged to build an extra hall for local church groups and the wider community.
The new hall, now complete, incorporates a ground source heat pump providing under floor heating and solar panels to provide hot water.
The Church of Scotland has over 180 eco-congregations each of which has committed to tackle climate change through action in the local community.
At the dedication service Lunan reaffirmed the church’s commitment to work with the Scottish Government in tackling climate change and meeting targets for emissions reductions.
