Holy Zam Zam water could be lethal

by David Masters

British Muslims have been warned against buying bottled holy water which may contain dangerous levels of the lethal poison arsenic.

Sacred Zam Zam water is believed to help heal diseases, and is traditionally drunk by Muslim pilgrims during the Ramadan month of fasting.

Zam Zam can only be found in Saudi Arabia, and it is illegal to export the water for commercial profit.

Environmental Health officials at Luton Borough Council have warned that water labelled Zam Zam on sale in the UK may not be genuine and poses a health risk.

Tests on Zam Zam water found three times the legal level of arsenic.

As such, Environmental Health officials say that anyone who has bought the water should throw it away.

Retailers found stocking Zam Zam will be asked to remove the product from sale.

Is this about water from the well of Zam zam? or is it a trademark for bottled water called Zam zam? Please clarify!
