Does God Exist? 97% vote No
by David Masters
A poll set-up to promote the evangelistic Alpha Course has found that almost no-one believes in God.
Some 97% of visitors to the Alpha Course website have voted ‘No’ in the poll asking ‘Does God exist?’.
The Humanist Society said the poll has “backfired” on the Alpha Course’s multi-million pound advertising campaign.
The Alpha Course insisted it has been victimised by an online sting.
Alpha Course spokesperson Mark Elsdon-Dew said: “I don’t think this is indicative of people’s faith in this country.”
