I was always a little confused by that. I guess that has a scriptural basis, but I had always been under the impression that the Father was the creator and the Son was considered the Redeemer (and that theology evolved to be somewhat different than the Jewish conception of Mosiach/Messiah)

What if any implications can this have for the future? Dogs interacting with AI to get more insight into canine cognition? Animal rights?

That was my understanding of JWs too. I've even read Jesus was considered an incarnation of Archangel Michael or Metatron.
The WCG, on the other hand, is now described as having been Binitarian, though I don't know if they used that word and don't remember how my grandfather described that...
