Does the Hafsah Codex, differ from the uthmanic codex

Syed Uthman ibn 'Affan was elected as the third Caliph by a Council called the Shura. As the elected leader of the Muslim Ummah (Brotherhood), it was his privilege and prerogative to appoint a Commission to collect all the available verses of the Qur'an from the 'Ummah and undertake the task of preparing a definitive compiled copy of the Qur'an. The Commission established a criteria for this specific purpose. When this Commission, headed by Zayd ibn Thabit - a reputable scribe and personal secretary to the Prophet, came up with a finally compiled copy of the Qur'an, it was approved by 'Uthman for circulation. The Caliph also supervised that the faithful copies of it were made and circulated to various provinces and Islamic countries.

A previous version of the Quaran, completed during the reign of Abu Bakr. This version was kept by Hafsah, the daughter of the 2nd Caliph, Umar.
When uthmans codex was complete, he orders all other versions to be burned.

Why?

Hafsah herself, a wife of the Prophet Muhammed (Pbuh), refused to burn her version.

Basically what happened was when Islam reached far areas of the Arab world and outer places too, the new converts were becoming confused with the 7 dialects of the Quran [the Quran was revealed in seven different dialects; some of the wordings or pronounciation would be different, but the overall meaning remained the same in all dilaects] and they started to argue over who's dialect was the correct one

Thus uthman [ra] felt it neccessary for people to stop going astray like this so he standardised the Quran in the Qurashi dilaect.

However the 7 dialects still exist and are taught in Islamic acedemies in certain parts of the muslim world

Can someone help me understand the seven dialects issue. I understand that all languages have similar differences. For instance,I go to Croatia I could understand the person from their capital city perfectly. But, when I go up north it's like I am in a different country.

Anyway, my confusion comes from the information that the Noble Qur'an was revealed in seven dialects? What does that mean? Did prophet Muhammad pbuh receive the message in various dialects? or was it written down by scribes in different dialects? One would think that early Muslims would understand that however Prophet Muhammad pbuh received the message--that it is, and the best 'version' if you will.

I feel that Hafsa ra had more authority when it comes to knowing Islaam from the Prophet pbuh than Uthman ra as she lived in his pbuh household. So, why did not Uthman take her copy of the Noble Qur'an and canonized the Qur'an based on that? It does not make sense to me that he would go pass her, work on the best possible collection of the Qur'anic verses and then ask any other 'version' to be burned, especially the one coming from one of the Mothers of Believers?

Please excuse my suspicions. I am not trying to cause problems, as I myself am learning and exploring the Truth as much as I can. I just think that we need to stop and ask logical questions, no?

I have similar questions. A single version of the Quaran is comissioned to be created in the Quarashi dilect, as it was revealed in that dialect.? That would create clarity and and a standardised version. The original versions, whether written in fragmented manuscripts or whole copies are returned including the Hafsah codex.

Why was a request/order given to burn the original versions? Having a standardised version in order to set a benchmark, stop confusion, is one thing. Asking for originals to be burned, seems to show a complete lack of reverence for the originals. Asking people to follow the standardised version should suffice.

I read that Hafsah refused to have her origianl burned and refused to hand it over. It was burned after her death.
