He is risen!

with such a brief introduction, we could do pretty much anything with this thread

let's start a rabble!!!!

'nuff said ...

Interesting you used a passive mode. Why does it not say, "he arose"?

"Is risen" is passive indicating that someone else raised him.

If were simply past tense, you could say, "He has risen."

Romans 1:4-5
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead...
Romans 6:8-11
Christ was raised from the dead...

Paul certainly believed that Jesus was passively raised from the dead by God,

Re: He was raised!

Matthew 20:18-19 ESV
(18) “See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death
(19) and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.

Jesus was raised by someone else. He did not rise from the dead as these verses indicate. It is second-hand translations by 16th Century Englishmen from Latin and Greek versions that came from believers who were not eyewitnesses, but stories passed down orally without verification.

ok...from the blasphemy corner...

hmmmm .... like working on the sabbath

and claimng oneness with G!d

Here we see Jesus once again defying the law..and tradition...

Jesus claimed the bread was his body....

and it was supposed to be unleavened...

and now is risen...

(for Ester breakfast at church I carved the stone rolled away empty tombalope, and as the shroud of Turin has been found to be disengenous, I had the chard of swiss on the shelf inside the melon....while the 'lope was empty, the fruit was found available to all.....)

Aye, deifying a human being, Jesus, into a God is technically blasphemy.

hmmmm .... like working on the sabbath
Not working on Saturday?

and claimng oneness with G!d

To claim oneness is illogical if you mention another person, God. Jesus talks to God, begs God to take this cup. No matter how you spin this, Jesus is talking to ANOTHER ONE. which makes at least two of them. Two is not oneness. God raised Jesus (a human being) from the dead. Without God, Jesus would today be merely some dry dusty bones. Oneness and the Trinity are incompatible and contradictory.

Jesus was a hero. He showed compassion to the poor, the sick, the prostitutes, sinners, and animals. When he prayed over a demon-possessed man (more likely epileptic or psychiatric dissociative states), he cared for them despite lacking knowledge of neuroscience.

JHWH in the Old Testament was a sadistic, uncaring, violent, hateful, vindictive, mass murderer, suffering from rage attacks. That is 180 degrees opposite to the N.T. Jesus. That is why the Cathars could not accept JHWH as anything but Satan and Jesus as a New Good God.

Wow! Let us get a Catholic Solar Disk communion host. Extract some DNA, the DNA of Jesus, and then we can test the validity of the Holy Grail story of the French Royal Dynasty. That would be great news for Brooke Shields (US actress) who can trace her ancestry back to Angevin French Kings and Queens...

Because the baker mistakenly adds yeast and baking soda..

Crikey, it is alive!

Well, at least the mould fungus growing where the fruit used to be, is alive.
