I posted something similar to this but here goes. Dont you agree that the only way a spell is right is the way the spell caster chooses to do their spell? In other words when you hear or read "You must find out the moon phase, or what herbs to use, etc" is all nonsense in the sense that as the expression goes "What is good for the goose may not be good for the gander".

And there is absolutely no way to prove different lunar phases, candles, etc really make the spell work due to the fact that it is humans that cast the spell not immortals. And if you are brainwashed you will believe that candles, herbs, etc make the spell work.

I dont believe that candles, herbs etc make the spell work. I believe it is the belief in the spell, the words I choose for the spell, and the prop I choose makes the spell work - plain and simple.
 
All ritual - whether used in organised religion or a self-styled ritual practice - simply aims to provide symbols which have meaning to help empower the will of the questor.

So someone who feels the phase of the moon is important, will therefore need to ascribe the most relevant lunar symbology.

Likewise, someone who has no interest in lunar aspects is unlikely to subscribe to using these.

As before, though, ultimately all wish-fulfillments are an insight into the questor and what they need to change about themselves.
 
How do you prefer others to do spells, to affect you and the relationship with you?
 
Do you have any preference over how others do spells, especially if the spells might affect you or your relationships?
 
No I dont care how they do their spells, I just cannot stand these so called experts who claim that you must follow what people did centuries before. On another web site there is a woman who claims to be a Wicca and you must use the rituals the way the people in centuries before us did. She claims that the full moon gives off power for certain types of spells. To me this is crazy. How do you prove this. I mean the moon cannot talk and say "Yep I give off extra power" But this woman believes it to be so, so then for her it will.

I told this woman on the other web site the following: "You cannot ask the moon if it is full or waning would your spells work better, you cannot ask candles if you use them would your spell work better. So there is absolutely no way to prove if the moon phases actually work, if candles actually work. You claim that the spells were done with rituals for thousands of years by your family but these people who are your family are human plain and simple. So who are they to say that rituals are the only way to make a spell take effect or work better. Can you ask a moon if any phase it is in will your spell work better. I bet if you tried doing one of your spells with a different moon phase than one you used your spell would work. It is the belief. What I am trying to say is there is absolutely no way to prove what props really work. It is all hearsay and man made."
 
As I understand it, a 'spell' is essentially asking someone else, or the universe, to do something that you can't do yourself. Am I correct? In other words using a car, a taxi, a horse, or a tool, would not be examples of using spells. Is that correct?

How about going to the neighbor and either asking them or suggesting that it would be helpful if they kept their dog chained up. Would that be a spell to make them do it? I imagine holding a prop, like a gun, could be effective. Some people might hold candles, or offer a fruit cake. Or, is a spell kind of like asking the police to go do the dirty work?
 
to luecy7 have you ever done spells? And if so what type of spells. And how do you do your spells?
 
It depends on the definition. I would say the right way is to presume responsibility, and to seek the approval of those it may effect. Would you agree?
 
If I am asking for something to be done so that someone or something will step up to do it, then I should presume responsibility. I should think about the potential consequences and whether or not it is good for everyone. To do that, I should also seek the approval of those that it may effect.

For example if I desire a fence and I ask for someone to construct a fence around our property then it may be a good idea to talk with the neighbors and make sure they approve. If the fence ends up releasing carcinogens into a nearby garden, giving someone cancer, then I was partly responsible. Even though I didn't know, someone else might have known, so it is important to seek the approval of others. Presuming responsibility means thinking about the potential consequences upon everyone, and seeking the approval of those that it might effect.
