I got a little argument with my friend on how and what is my stand about online dating and my conviction as a christian. As for me there is nothing wrong with it as long as you keep the boundaries. But she was absolutely is against it, I don't know for what reason she doesn't like it , she said its not the proper way of dating. So? what then? how about you what is your stand about this?

Unfortunately, it has replaced most other social events as a way to meet (IMHO). And I thought "speed-dating" was strange (but then I am over 60). But, "social media" seems to be the norm with the date-able aged singles around the office and on base (work at an AF base). As long as you keep that "Christian" label in replies or solicitations and you keep within your moral boundries, I do not see anything wrong with it.

I would ask her.

What is wrong with meeting someone online?

I don't know how she can make the stand so vehemently without stating the reason why.

I surely don't see anything biblical against it. And simply increasing the pool of potential mates I would think increases the liklihood of finding an amicable connection.

It is just another step further away from the arranged marriages of the past....good or bad.
