What is so bad about Satan?

Satan is badmouthed as the guy is supposed to be totally evil. However I just can't see how he can be any worse than the Biblical deity who has done some terrible things if the Biblical stories about its deeds were factual, instead of mythical?

The devil made me do it....we gotta have somebody to blame for our bad actions....
