Some one I know started studying with surfing rabbi. I never heard of him before. He's from Southern California. Out break of yom kipper war, he became kibbutz volunteer. In 1997 emigrated to Israel. Served in Israel defense force. Studying at University of santa Barbara. Spanish and German literature.

Continued graduate studies in West Germany at University of Goetingen. He's language teacher in Spanish and German and Hebrew and Yiddish. Best of my knowledge on him.

I don't know if he teaches old testament and new testament in the bible. I don't study with him. Someone I know studys with him.

I did some research on him. And supposedly he's a reformed jew.

Don't know much more about him.

Might be interesting topic for members to discuss ?

1) Why post this in the Christianity subforum?
2) It is Reform, not “reformed”.
3) Shrifren is not a Reform rabbi, he is Orthodox, ultra-Orthodox actually.
4) Why would you think that a rabbi might be teaching Christian scripture, at least in the sense I think you mean it?
5) What is so interesting to you about Rabbi Shifren that you think people here might want to discuss him?

I wasn't sure where to post it.
there is dr Daniel on Abraham section I see as jew Rabbi.
If another member can do it. I can't!!!.
Im just trying to produce fruit for God.
Im frying different methods to try get results.
Of course he doesn't teach Bible.
He uses surfing to connect to languages.
I never heard of him before .
Somone i know told me he studies under him.
Another member has similar thread, dr daniel on Abraham.
I guess you don't like my style of teaching.
This thread would make others aware of anyone who says there shepherd, and omits Bible studies.
Google search ,said reformed jew. But im sure your correct he's Orthodox.
I have limited knowledge on him.
Respectfully speaking, I see it as hypocritical as another member has similar post I mentioned.
This thread is educational purpose, and just make others aware.
Peace.
