No. I was referring to another poster on another thread who was quite adamant about the benefits of utilitarianism yet refused to openly acknowledge the drawbacks.

This thread serves as a perfect example of the drawbacks of "mob rule."

Touche'. I mispoke...the article highlights the problems inherent with utilitarian reasoning. The greatest good for the most Hindis necessarily means denying good for those not Hindi, or those who desire to convert from being Hindi.

It is not you to whom I was referring. At least you understand there are times when the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many. That is distinctly *un*-utilitarian.
