Eisenman's theory that James is the "Teacher of Righteousness" in the Habakkuk Pesher has all but been proven wrong. Carbon 14 dating of the Habakkuk Pesher in 1994 at one of the finest facilities in the world (

B.C.E., which would make it impossible to be a veiled observation about the conflict between James and Paul since neither of them had been born yet when it was written. Eisenman's books were written prior to the C-14 tests in Arizona.
Tellingly, Eisenman doesn't say much about this theory anymore, but is often heard whining about the Radiocarbon dating - an area that is definitely
not within his expertise.
