My brother Mark, who you may remember as Prober, died suddenly of a heart attack on Father's Day.

I did not know. But then I wasn't around much at the time. I am sorry for your loss Chris. He accepted Christ. He was wise in his posts, and gentle in spirit. He made me think, just like you.

edit: I think he left you a clue about life Chris: "Oh. Didn't know it was an art.

I just pray and ask for G^d to show me what I'm supposed to know. Then it's not just a book. I really believe it takes both parts - the word and the Word."

Re: Acts of God?

Thanks for the kind thought, Josh. It's been very hard. Mark was only 44.

Re: Acts of God?

Another act of God will be the earthly resurrection.
Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment. Acts 5 28;29

the judgement spoken of here is not for how a person acted before they died, but they will be Judged on how they act AFTER their resurrection . the resurrection is an act of God , and it is love in action . some people may have done bad things before they died but its good to know that love of God gives people the chance to put themselves inline with God and go on to live in a paradise earth. the ones who did good things will be resurrected to life straight away because they would have already put themselves inline with God . so even if we die we have still got everlasting life held out to us .

The LORD is slow to get angry, but his power is great, and he never lets the guilty go unpunished. He displays his power in the whirlwind and the storm. The billowing clouds are the dust beneath his feet. At his command the oceans and rivers dry up, the lush pastures of Bashan and Carmel fade, and the green forests of Lebanon wilt. In his presence the mountains quake, and the hills melt away; the earth trembles, and its people are destroyed. Who can stand before his fierce anger? Who can survive his burning fury? His rage blazes forth like fire, and the mountains crumble to dust in his presence. The LORD is good[wtf are you on about? lol]. When trouble comes, he is a strong refuge. And he knows everyone who trusts in him. But he sweeps away his enemies in an overwhelming flood. He pursues his foes into the darkness of night

Jehovah is slow to anger Nahum 1;3
Look! Upon the mountains the feet of one bringing good news, one publishing peace. Nahum 1;15
(Isaiah 52:7) How comely upon the mountains are the feet of the one bringing good news, the one publishing peace, the one bringing good news of something better, the one publishing salvation, the one saying to Zion: “Your God has become king!”

(Luke 2:10) But the angel said to them: “Have no fear, for, look! I am declaring to YOU good news of a great joy that all the people will have,
