Aliases Anonymous
Hi! I'm an alias of a member. (I thought I'd admit that from the beginning.)
My purpose is to host an area where the member can test out stuff.
Are there any more aliases who would like to take this opportunity to confess? (And up their post count in the process?)

Re: Aliases Anonymous
Let's try and avoid using multiple aliases, please.
I can overlook someone re-registering just to test one or more features, but I don't want to see the same individual posting in discussions under different usernames.
Just to make that crystal clear.

Re: Aliases Anonymous
There is another term for this:
Sockpuppet.
I don't approve, myself. Too much potential for abuse.
(however, I have a feeling I know who it is already)

Re: Aliases Anonymous
i would be very wary of members who behave in this way, personally... I mean... really...? more than one ID? there's a million possible permutations here as to outcomes, but deception of some description is the root of many of them...

I can name two of them right off, that still post with us. Three if we count Brian's three accounts...but then it *is* his site.
That's not counting some of the persistent self-appointed prophets who re-register after being shown the door...

Re: Aliases Anonymous
Like I said, this account is for testing site features. I won't use it to post on the forum, except maybe to answer a question someone might ask about how to use the board. No sock-puppeting.

Re: Aliases Anonymous
Lab Assistant has been very helpful to me anyway, teaching me how to customize my user profile page.
Thanks Seattlegal!

You're welcome, Lunamoth!
If anyone else wants help personalizing their profile page, just go to Lab Assistant's Profile page or to the Cyberspace Interior Design Group and post a visitor message, or you can PM me.
If anyone wants to use any of the pictures in Lab Assistant's albums for their profiles, feel free to copy them and use them. That's what they are there for.

Re: Aliases Anonymous
Dang! I want to make a profile personalization in honor of global warming! I've got four+ inches of global warming right outside my front door, covering a thick layer of ice. Brrr.
