Anti-spam changes

We've had problems especially with people joining up simply to post an affiliate link on the site.

Manually removing such posts can be a pain, so I've now implemented what should be an automated solution - members with less than 20 posts now cannot post live links.

I appreciate that this will affect genuine use of links by the newest members, but I had to set the figure relatively high as some people will think at nothing than posting lots of "me too!" posts just to bulk up post count for posting their affiliate links.

The new changes are of course subject to revision - if anyone feels they are a problem, please do feel free to raise the issue.

It also remains to be seen if this actually does exactly what is planned.

how were you able to turn off a live link? or is it just automatic that it does not show up?

Hm...the recent measures to prevent inking by new members does not seem to have worked.
