Re: Beijing Olympics
excellent....my two pence I don't think I'd be using real peoples names like that...I think there may be issues...is my suggested image a bit more immediate (guns and monks...)

Isn't it? Strange how it can intertwine both, but it does..... I think it is still shocking but not too over the top shocking which my concept/draft logo was.... But, it gets a reaction you know lol and that is what you want from people... In their face, they can't hide, close your eyes if you so choose, but it's there can you be man enough to face it lol UGH! Sorry Rambling again... Listening to the mp3 player... Certain songs get in the ol' subconscience there and make me type like a demon.

Re: Beijing Olympics
Firstly I was going to just do five handcuff, cuffs... All linked together, but I saw that one of the sites someone linked me to showed kinda the same thing going on... where two of the links were cuffs, so it wasn't really that "fresh" of an idea... Instead thought I would show disturbing light on the issue instead :\ I still prefer the one with the petition names on it however lol That is my fave...

Re: Beijing Olympics
I prefer the one with names too but Snoopy is right it may not be ok to advertise them. What if I do a load of made up names in photoshop and email them to you? Or does it lose the importance if they are not real petition names?

Re: Beijing Olympics
I think it does indeed lose that sting, when all the names are not real, when they are... You think... Oh my goodness... These are people... REAL people and they are standing for what they see as right... You know?
Here is my first, FIRST one I did, simple..... yes... lol. But, I think it is still strong.

Re: Beijing Olympics
MW asked me last night to come up with a badge.. I made the handcuffs in the very few minutes I had left at work.. And thought it was basic but could maybe work on it when I came to work today... Then in this link you gave me was this logo...
So I wrote that idea off.

Re: Beijing Olympics
17th...lots of excellent stuff here. I really like the rings superimposed upon the handcuffs. Very effective with the appropriate slogan.
Another image that is universally remembered about the true nature of the rulers in China and it is the one of the lone man standing in front of the tank in Tienanmen square where hundreds if not thousands were killed during the democracy uprisings in the 80's.
You could photoshop his image into a thin-clad track and field athlete looking up at the tank and saying something to the effect..."But I'm just a long distance runner".
Good stuff here all !
flow....
