So instead of writing in Ron Paul, I should have written in Ru Paul?

Re: Black President In The Usa? Are We Ready?
I am impressed with the US electorate for the first time in my life. The first Obama speech I have watched in full has been his victory speech. After 8 years of a barely literate buffoon you now have a President that looks like a president, sounds like a president and I can only hope that he gets the support form Senate and House to be the president the people want him to be.
I am stunned, really I am, at the landslide victory this was. And I am happy, very happy, that the American people have the opportunity now to be a Great Nation for all the right definitions of Great.

But I still count this election as a huge stand for HOPE. At the heart of it, this is the first election that I've come out of it more hopeful than I went in. And the efforts of both parties to be at least civil and bipartisan, to encourage Americans in cooperative effort to fix our problems... this is amazing.
Tonight, I mostly raised a glass to my grandfather who passed away last year. He worked for years and years to end racism in the South. And as Obama won, I knew my grandfather is cheering where ever he is. He may not have lived to see this night, but I know in his small way, his work, like so many Americans', was instrumental in leading us to this moment.

Tao,
In this instance your words are my words too.
I watched and saw the honest emotions on the faces and saw real hope and inspiration coming through. The sighn of a great man is one who inspires the light to once more return to the eyes of his people, and it has.

No doubt I will. The next year, the next 4 years are very hard to predict. We can but hope they are better than the last 8 though.

You'd have to be Barack Obama for that to happen.

It's not really a black President. It's a grey President. It's America's first grey President. I wonder when America is going to have a blue and red President. It would be a really nice way of showing the country's true colours.

I have not felt this good since.
Daniel-son in the movie The Karate Kid won his karate competition.

52% of the vote is not a landslide.
Estimates are that Obama got 52% of the popular vote while McCain got 46%. The remaining 2% went to various silly parties.
