Re: break from mee

We need more biblical references in the Christianity forum. I'm sure we can count on mee to help out there.

I'm impressed you're so tolerant toward a competitor.

How was the trip, mee? What did you see/do/eat? Never been to Spain myself, but sounds lovely...

Does the rain in Spain lie mainly on the plain?

but they are very into idol worship over in spain .
i know what you mean, mee. i'm sure i have mentioned it before on another thread, but where i live in south texas and throughout mexico, there is a lot of idol worship as well. wether it be the christ crucifix, virgin mary, or a saint. now i know that the catholic traditions from old spain carried over here to mexico or latin america when spain ruled the region. but its just something i could never wrap my head around but hopefully will be able to understand very soon enough...

It was great went to a place called NERJA , with lots of places to eat out , went to a place on the beach where a hugh paella was cooked in a really big paella dish . yum yum .

went to visit the caves of nerja really impressive .

However, the heart of Nerja is its spectacular Balcón de Europa, the "Balcony of Europe", a magnificent promenade along the edge of a towering cliff, once the site of the great Moorish castle, with sweeping panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below, against an awesome backdrop of hazy blue mountains.

The old quarter of the town is still virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums.

we also went to visit the mountain village called Frigiliana , very pretty.

and took a visit to the Donkey santuary which was set up to rescue
ill treated animals.

Re: break from mee

Sounds like a wonderful trip, mee. Sounds reminiscent of southern France when I was there, with the big old promenade and tiny windy streets. So different from the US.

Did you get to pet any donkeys? A few years ago tons of BLM donkeys that were out to pasture wanted pets from me when we were out hiking. I have photos of all the cute donkeys giving me love.

I wouldnt debate that. The only thing I have trouble with is passages being cited as though they speak for themselves. They rarely do.

Consider Genesis 3:15....
I will put emnity between you and the woman
and between your seed and her seed.
The woman's seed? I'd be interested in your interpretation, Mee. Not just the woman's seed part but the overall meaning of this passage - all of 16 words.

In that passage, G-d is speaking to the serpent. Why is G-d taking any interest in a future relationship between the woman and the serpent? Does G-d expect them to have further interactions after the Forbidden Fruit episode ?

Why on earth would the woman want to have anything else to do with the serpent after being misled by the serpent and having suffered serious consequences (spiritual and physical death)??? She didn't learn her lesson and is prone to additional indiscretions???

Very confusing.
Like I said, it's only 16 words.

The part you cite is only 5 words in the Hebrew.

Genesis 3 ;15 is the first prophecy in the bible , and now understanding is abundant ,the sacred secret is now understandable and no longer hidden .

and Jesus plays a very big part in it all.
