Nope. The confusion you maybe having is how you Americans put dates backwards.... 7th day of the 6th month of the year 2008. That is how it is done.

Re: caleb
Hells no! This is a UK based Interfaith forum So it has to be our duristiction. Besides why put the month before the day? That's crazy.
"I'll come over later! Yeah say 30 mins and 2 hours!"
:\ Two and a half hours is the way it's done! Ya backwards people! Ya backwards! *has tantrum*
*snickers*

Re: caleb
Shall we meet at a quarter to four or three forty-five?
Where were you on 9/11; the 9th of November?
Good job the 7 / 7 bombings happened when they did, to avoid any international confusion, what?
(just to use known examples, not to be disrespectful)

Re: caleb
Hehe, I know totally it confuses.. The colonials just want to be different from us ;\ That's my theory. They show that by changing 's' to 'z' and ZEE not ZED... And just swapping our words for other words that have a different meaning! and now our dates?! It's English, not americanish

Re: caleb
Enough already!!! (a little Americanism there for you matey!)
Well what do I know? If you google images for "American flag" you get quite the opposite.
Design
[edit] Specification

The basic design of the current flag is specified by 4 U.S.C. § 1; 4 U.S.C. § 2 outlines the addition of new stars to represent new states. The specification gives the following values: - Hoist (width) of the flag: A = 1.0
- Fly (length) of the flag: B = 1.9[6]
- Hoist (width) of the Union: C = 0.5385 (A x 7/13, spanning seven stripes)
- Fly (length) of the Union: D = 0.76 (B × 2/5, two fifths of the flag length)
- E = F = 0.0538 (C/10, One tenth the height of the field of stars)
- G = H = 0.0633 (D/12, One twelfth the width of the field of stars)
- Diameter of star: K = 0.0616
- Width of stripe: L = 0.0769 (A/13, One thirteenth of the flag width)
[edit] Colors
The exact shades of red, white, and blue to be used in the flag are specified as follows: [7]
Color Cable color Pantone[8] Web Color[9] RGB Values Dark Red 70180 193 C #BF0A30 (191,10,48) White 70001 Safe #FFFFFF (255,255,255) Navy Blue 70075 281 C #002868 (0,40,104)
(from wiki)
Do we need a Yank to explain???
