Church's sole effort collects shoes for needy
St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Carmel is collecting new and gently worn shoes for Soles4Souls, a nonprofit organization that gives shoes to the needy worldwide.
Liz Rix, the church's mission coordinator, and Nancy Canning, a church employee, said recent natural disasters, including those in the Midwest, have left a void in the Soles4Souls stock, and the church is hoping to help fill it...Cont'd Soles4Souls along with its many distribution partners are working “around the corner and around the world” to make a difference with the gift of shoes. We are presently working in over 35 states and 50 countries. I have many shoes.... They'd be welcome to most of them, however they have been partially eaten by my pack. You think they'd want um?
