I'd say that it would be rude to pass along any religion-specific thing like this to people whom I *know* don't share that religious outlook, particularly with this last bit. This has nothing at all to do with what they might think of me, but the regard I have for them.

That is because that last part wasn't supposed to be there. I swore I took it out before pasting in. I am very sorry, as I hate that crud as well, and never pass those things on with that junk attached. I'll ask the supermod to fix that. Once again, it was not my intent to have that attached.

Re: Daily Wisdom Saying
Q,
I want to thank you for posting Twinkies and Root Beer. I enjoyed reading this story very much; it is a great reminder that we can find God anywhere and everywhere, and especially in other people, often strangers. I love the way that both the boy and the elder are both profoundly affected by the encounter. This is a wonderful story, and I thank you for sharing it.
Peace.

A wise man once said to me when I asked the meaning of it all."Have fun and be good." When I tried to ask about wisdom he just put his finger to his mouth and said "SSSHHHHHH"

Re: Daily Wisdom Saying
Here's a prophetic one.
"Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will come when medicine will organize into an underground dictatorship....To restrict the art of healing to one class of men and deny equal privileges to others will constitute the Bastille of medical science. All such laws are un-American and despotic and have no place in a republic....The Constitution of this republic should make special privilege for medical freedom as well as religious freedom."

Re: Daily Wisdom Saying
"Spirituality is the foundation of all my political work. In many of the progressive movements in this country, religion carries a lot of baggage. But I think that's changing. You can't dismiss the significance of Eastern religions, earth-based religions, and Western religions on political work today. What we all need to do is find the wellspring that keeps us going, that gives us the strength and patience to keep up this struggle for a long time."

Sun Bear:
When humans participate in ceremony, they enter a sacred space. Everything outside of that space shrivels in importance. Time takes on a different dimension. Emotions flow more freely. The bodies of participants become filled with the energy of life, and this energy reaches out and blesses the creation around them. All is made new; everything becomes sacred.
