Re: Facist Israel Strikes Again
... I think you err, Tao... In calling Israel facists... there are ppl on both sides who have agendas, and the little people get caught up in the midde...
I understand the palestinians angst- I wouldn't be happy for you to bulldoze my house, build a big wall around what was once my home and tell me I can't go back in, because you have given it away to somebody else... At the same time, Israel believes it has claim on this territory... they then, are doing what they think is legal...
there's always two sides Tao...
granted, both of them need to wake up to themselves...

Tell me the difference between a Nazi ghetto and Gaza? Except of course the Palestinians have the balls to fight back. Were the Nazi's not fascist?

Re: Facist Israel Strikes Again
All right then, let's just stop sending food into Gaza. Let the population go down to what they can support on the produce of that land.
Perhaps they would start to see that they would be better off as part of the world than as an island?

Re: Facist Israel Strikes Again
Well if you are only trying to save money, then stop funding Israel. Thats gonnabe more economical. After all how many billions do you give Gazans anyways
If your intention is to eliminate gazans, then ofcourse, cage them & stop feeding them.
And watch your back, that's where Karma strikes from.

Nobody explained it to me.. at least. Israel is not a major topic on an average Americans mind, in any way what so ever.
And I definately won`t become a human shield if someone had beef with those that made the decision to make NYC a Muslim target.
So I really wish Islam stop calling all of America as their satan and come to NYC. Its a spec in American society in some remote location that Americans don`t know about where their satan exists. And if I were Muslim and a terrorist, I`d be aiming rea~lly accurately. Unlike the dumb ass`s like someone.

Perhaps, but Israel has already been bulldozing the plantations and claimed all rights without recourse to negotiations to the fresh water aquifers, too.
The idea that Israel has only ever taken aggressive action to defend itself seems as naive as any Palestinian claim as well.
We have two people who need their heads knocking together - and perhaps under normal circumstances we would have seen something move towards a resolution by now - if not for unconditional support for Israel by the USA.
So far actions by Israel and the Palestinians is focused on addressing symptoms - no one is aiming at underlying causes.

Israel is hoping to have the Palestinians sealed off by 25 concrete wall within a year. What do you think is going to happen within a year's time given that the closure policy caused a banking crisis only recently? Israel has been pushing Palestinians ever closer to total desperation.

Let's see. Israel just recently had a food blockade. Their closure policy can be expected to limit delivery of all resources. How much latitude for choice about reaching Palestinians with food (or anything else) is there really?

In the meantime, the Israeli barrier is expected to gobble up huge chucks of arable Palestinian land.

Some analyses have suggested that this current campaign is intended to influence the upcoming election in Israel. If that is true, it would mean the Palestinian victims are nothing more than pawns in a political ploy.

Re: Facist Israel Strikes Again
Is it just me or are the Russians trying to create a smoke screen in Europe by starting up on Ukraine?
And Israel seems to be doing the same for Russia for their recent invasion and takeover of land.
Is there a pattern, or am I just imagining things?

This is the real issue, neither can sit at a table and have a discussion. Each has an agenda that requires the elimination or subservience of the other.

Bob you have nailed your racist colours to the mast long ago. face. I understand entirely why Gazans risk the helicopter gunships to fire rockets. They do so because of people like you.

Judging from some of the posts on this thread, your statement applies to the fighting in Gaza and the combat occurring here between members. I have resented how the "old timers" here tend to talk around or through newcomers. As I read some of the mean spirited things said here between members, I realize that there are personal agendas playing out based on years of disagreement. When I raise an issue, I'm told that you discussed that in an earlier thread or made your(plural) opinion clear on that sometime ago.
David- your Marxist holier-than-thou bullsh1t belies any attempt to discuss the tragedy in Gaza with you. That's your choice. Using the bloodshed in Gaza and Israel to sh1t your personal truth over anyone who dares to disagree with you is fascist. Your bleeding heart compassion for the children of Gaza trumps everyone elses compassion as though that is important. Gaza is a holocaust in your mind.
Someone who joined this forum at about the same time told me today that there didn't seem to be anything of real interest here for them. This person is an ordained Minister. But they also agreed that the experience was worthwhile because we met and have continued to discuss the things that are of spiritual and personal interest to us.
Wil- I leave you with your own words,"This is the real issue, neither can sit at a table and have a discussion. Each has an agenda that requires the elimination or subservience of the other." Kind of a sad epitaph for an Interfaith Forum. David

I was responding to Farhan's proposal that it is actually more evil for Israel to keep feeding the Palestinians than to exterminate them all. If the world did stop keeping them on welfare, I am quite sure Farhan would be screaming bloody murder about it.

Re: Facist Israel Strikes Again
Whilst the UN meets to gather a consensus on halting this unpardonable slaughter the Israelis have deliberately targeted and hit two clearly defined UN compounds killing many civilians who were sheltering there. This is nothing less that an attack on the international community and shows that Israel has no respect for any international convention. It is a rogue state. It is time to hit back at Israel, and hit back hard.
