Re: Favorite Bible Quotes
there are so many ! where to start
Quote:
psalm 40
I waited patiently for the LORD;
And He inclined to me and heard my cry.
He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay,
And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm.
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God;
Many will see and fear
And will trust in the LORD.

talking about a stone
it brings this verse to my mind
And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite; forasmuch as you beheld that out of the mountain A STONE was cut not by hands, and [that] it crushed the iron, the copper, the molded clay, the silver and the gold. The grand God himself has made known to the king what is to occur after this. And the dream is reliable, and the interpretation of it is trustworthy."DANIEL 2;44-45
You kept on looking until a stone was cut out not by hands, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and of molded clay and crushed them.
At that time the iron, the molded clay, the copper, the silver and the gold were, all together, crushed and became like the chaff from the summer threshing floor, and the wind carried them away so that no trace at all was found of them. And as for the stone that struck the image, it became a large mountain and filled the whole earth. DANIEL 2;34-35
The prophecy of Daniel depicts the Messianic Kingdom as "a stone" cut out of a "mountain." (Daniel 2:34, 35, 44, 45)
The mountain represents Jehovah’s universal sovereignty, so the Kingdom stone is a new expression of Jehovah’s universal rulership.
In the prophecy, the stone, in turn, ‘becomes a large mountain and fills the whole earth,’ indicating that the Messianic Kingdom will represent divine sovereignty in ruling the earth.

Re: Favorite Bible Quotes
And so he sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God and to heal, LUKE 9;2
This Kingdom that they are to preach about is the one Jesus taught them to pray for in the model prayer.
The Kingdom has drawn near in the sense that God’s designated King, Jesus Christ, is present.
To establish his disciples’ credentials as representatives of that superhuman government, Jesus empowers them .

Re: Favorite Bible Quotes
I love this
Quote:
Isaiah 42:5-9 (Holman Christian Standard Bible)
This is what God the LORD says
who created the heavens and stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and what comes from it,
who gives breath to the people on it
and life to those who walk on it
I, the LORD, have called you
for a righteous [purpose]
and I will hold you by your hand.
I will keep you, and I make you
a covenant for the people
[and] a light to the nations,
in order to open blind eyes,
to bring out prisoners from the dungeon,
[and] those sitting in darkness from the prison house.
I am Yahweh, that is My name;
I will not give My glory to another,
or my praise to idols.
The past events have indeed happened.
Now I declare new events;
I announce them to you before they occur.

Praise GOD

Is this the one you mean?
11 Sing praises to the LORD, enthroned in Zion;
proclaim among the nations what he has done.
