Friends?? We've got friends??

It appears we have friends, a new twist.

All of you that I regularly communicate with (notice I purposefully did not say agree) I consider friends...ie I care about ya, despite our discussions!

Another thing...we seem to have lost the "find all threads started by" search feature when we click on someone's name... I liked that feature.

I just noted, tags...we got tags...

wil, find all threads is still there. If you go to someone's profile it's in one of the tabs.

And yar (that's pirate for yes), friends, if we talk regularly and I left you out, or if you've been on the forums for a while, it's not intentional neglect. I tried to friend everyone I could think of. If you are not friended and fit the above description, plz friend me. Yay.

Yep, the friends is an opt in way of building a list, so you know when they're online, etc.

Also, latest post I believe appears under the Stats tab.

I must say that all of the new forum features are great. I'm thinking about using the personal album feature to upload some custom smilies to use.

Hi Brian. It seems that the reputation point system is set up in such a way that we can only recommend our own posts, not other peoples' posts.

I'm not a big fan of the friend thing. It doesn't seem to do much imo. You can already see who's online. This plus the profile posts seem like an attempt to facebookize the forums. Facebook is taking over everything! gaaaaaa!

Basically, a 'Friend' (for the profile purposes) is someone who is on your list of 'Contacts' and you are on their list of 'Contacts.' The 'Contact List' is handy if you want to screen which members are able to send you private messages and/or e-mails; i.e., the Contact list is the list of people you will accept e-mails and/or private messages from, if you are screening your PM's and e-mails.

Well, I befriended InLove, Prober and Flow.

And I tried to befriend Vajra, but I see he has chosen to disable that for himself. Perhaps a wise choice, time will tell.

Well I added many but only a few who first invited me are added. Only they can see my gallery of pics and learn what I keep under my kilt
