Frolicking
Wil is running around the room skipping and frolicking, wondering which toys to play with first...
With no one to slap his hand or tell him no, he finds it a little forboding. He really wonders if he can say this, or posit that, or contemplate the other...
Like a kid in a candy store...what can of worms should be opened first?

Re: Frolicking
Well, we've already had Spong, the Jesus Seminar, and general Progressive Christianity.
Think the big cans of worms are already opened.

Samabudhi is running around and around, driven by his restless mind...
With no one to guide him and show him the benefits of virtuous living, he finds it a little forboding. He would like to try different methods and see for himself, but people keep hitting him...
A faithful but blind man in the jungle...what path leads to peace?

Re: Frolicking
Namaste Samabudhi and Dondi,
No mommy isn't here...but her presence persists. Without any one to guide me, all my guides are talking at once.
Can you feel it?
Freedom that pervades our space requires us to be 100% responsible for that space....no one to blame what happens here. No one to point fingers at, they told me I couldn't, I was afraid to.
We have permission, our permission, to be one with all, to be virtuous beyond measure, no one is judging, everyone is an expression of the allness.
As within so without....all thought, all goodness, all love is here.
Can you feel it?
Can we understand it was always here, before here existed it was always there, we were just to caught up....correct that I was just to caught up in nuance to see, to here, to feel....
Can you feel it?
Revel in it, roll in it, frolick with me.

While some people in this community clearly have a can opener at the ready, I think the really big cans have not been publicly opened.

Re: Frolicking
This room started with seven threads a few days ago. Today that number has doubled. Seems this is an idea whose time is here. It's good to see you frolicking, Wil.
I'm trying to think....what cans have not been opened yet? Oh I know. Gay marriage. Abortion. World politics.
Maybe some cans are best left unopened. Huh?

Hmmm. What's the best thing to do when one is lost in a forest. Sorry, I substitude "forest" for "jungle" because in my part of the world we don't have jungles and I might run amuck with my analogies.
Oops! I read you are also blind. Really bad situation. Well, getting away from those hitting people might be a good idea. Next, listen really hard for where the sound of traffic comes from. Or perhaps a brook. Maybe you can feel or smell on which side of the tree trunks the moss is growing. That should be north. Hopefully you know which direction is home.
In the sad case that you don't have a home, maybe you can build or dig yourself one right where you are. Just be sure to be off the main roadway, away from all those hitting hands and trampling feet.
I find that being blind has its advantages. For example, you can't see all the dangers so they don't frighten you. This means maybe you can live under an over-hang where sighted people would get dizzy because of the open space.

Absolutely not, open all the cans, let the light in!
What use is any religion or contemplation if we can't take it to the street make use of it, revel in it, and find peace in it?
Where the rubber meets the road, that is where it all happens.
