Re: Greatest Religion in the world.

I'm sorry, it was just that this woman was miserable, was completely changed from the inside out, and that her baby was saved that warmed my heart. Such a scenario seemed pretty great to me.

and the fact that you are saying "christianity is real truth" and islam isn't didn't enter into it, i suppose. when i see stuff like this i even wonder what the point is of dialogue, myself.

He saying if we allow this sort of thing to run amok, we'll see the Islam forum immediately clogged up with testimonies from ex-Christian Muslim, telling how Allah kicks ass.

Re: Greatest Religion in the world.

Aww really? I'd like to know why some Christians find Islam superior.

Re: Greatest Religion in the world.

Perhaps it's not an issue so much of which is superior, Christianity or Islam. Rather, it's more an issue of respectful dialogue and learning to get along with each other despite differences of opinion. There are plenty of places on the internet that allow for grudge matches pitting one faith against another...
CR is different. We are trying to find ways to understand each other. Kinda hard to do that by setting oneself over everyone else like some kind of beauty pageant. Seems to me Jesus would not be amused by such a show of egoism...don't you think?

What egoism are you talking about? The "egoism" of the video I linked? I didn't make that video. I just found it. Egoism refers to acting in one's own self interest. Christianity is about acting in God's interest. And God says to defend the faith at all times. But that has nothing to do with my post.

You say CR is about understanding each other. What lack of understanding came to you from watching that video? I'll admit that the video is made to favor Christianity, but where did I boast about that?

Like I said in an earlier post, the part that I liked was that this woman was miserable, called out to Jesus, and saw herself change from the inside. Plus the miracle of her Baby being completely fine. It was the fact that God did that for her that I liked, not the fact of her converting to Christianity. Show me where I said anything contrary to this.

Hi Pico, please consider the very title of the video "How a Muslim woman found real truth, from Islam to Christ".

To some it would be considered inflammatory, even if unintentional.
