Greetings from Middle Earth
A quick intro from the narrowboat "Lothlorien" near Bath, England. I came across this site a few days ago and keep coming back to it. I read the thread on "The Fall" and was amazed by the clarity of thought, the level of understanding and the gentleness of expression. It made me realise how much I have to learn. So I approach with great humility.
I label myself an alternative Christian, which means I do alternative worship with a lovely bunch of people, we discuss and eat together now and then. My approach is that I try to follow the teachings of Christ while keeping an open mind about dogma. I believe that anyone who lives with unselfish love in their heart and with respect for the planet, is a follower of Christ's way, and what you call it is immaterial.
I have worked is Islamic countries and respect them; I have neo-pagan and atheist friends and respect them too. We have much to learn from each other.

Re: Greetings from Middle Earth
We both have a lightning-shaped scar on our foreheads. Only mine is not from an evil wizard but from the back end of a refrigerated truck!

Any coincidence that you might be riding a motorbike when that happened? as one of my friends here got a scar on his forehead with his yamaha, funny he now has the same lightning shape, though more real )

Hi again, Virtual Cliff.
By the way, have you checked out the sister site - for science fiction and fantasy?

Re: Greetings from Middle Earth
Brian,
I think I have problems with my cookies again. I'm not able to open your link. Do you know if Diana Gabaldon will publish finally the 6th volume ? My club (Québec loisirs) promised to publish it this summer, but I'm still waiting.
Virtual_Cliff,
I'm afraid I didn't understand your answer. Are you a fan of Harry Potter or not ? The reason is that I would like to know when the 6th volume will appear on the market. Can you help me with this question or do I have to ask somebody else ?

Re: Greetings from Middle Earth
Hmm. Really odd. Yes, I'm able to do a copy/paste, but I'm not able to open the link here.
I did some changes for the pop-ups. Maybe I did something wrong in the set-up.

Sorry Alexa. Can't help you with that. I enjoy HP but I'm not fanatical.

Re: Greetings from Middle Earth
I did once have a Suzuki when I was working in Riyadh, and got knocked off it in spectacular style - lots of nice bruises but no scar.

As long as you didn't need major reconstructive surgeries on both legs...
