Help! I'm stuck in politics mode! Eek!

My mind is stuck in politics mode! I can't focus on studying Plato or anything else.

Any suggestions on how I can get unstuck? Thanks in advance!

Stuck in Politics? I dunno. Shoot yourself and start over? Reboot? Restart?

I try never to go there except those days I close the curtain behind me and just rush through the ballot, remembering to count to ten a lot!

SG, so sorry there appears to be an epidemic. Many have caught it, and for a high percentage this will last another 2-4 months....

at this time your condition is extremely difficult to overcome as every where you turn you can get reinfected easily as your immune system to this particular virus has also been weakened....

start with reviewing the pali canon and you'll soon find this is actually no different than any other condition on this plane of existence.

I know what you mean. IMO it's like when watching the trance state induced from watching too much of Korean Soap Operas --even w/o sub-titles.

It's the same scenario that caused many Greeks to stay in Greece ---instead of heading west ---it's the connexion to the word "Polemics" and all its off-shoots that is the problem.

You need to get out and "Date a Hebrew Bible"

-my guess

I can empathize since the Republican running mate is the junior senator from Wisconsin.

I've been visiting :kitty: sites like I can Have Cheezburger (dot) com, Good Morning Kitten (formerly the Daily Kitten) and ZooBorns (they have cute baby animals from several zoos around the world, and sometimes they include videos of the babies playing with each other and/or with mommy/"mommy".)

I also have been busy in my kitchen, cooking and baking (alas, I'm way behind in the cleaning part of the aforementioned activity. )

ah yes phyllis....thanx for the suggestions...

Yes SG perfect fix. Move the focus to things more domestic, cook us up some of them brownies and pretzels, get off to the store for some more Guinness, the OFC could use some sprucing up....we can't have that little mind filled full of such nonsense now can we....

Virtual black and tans with a side of Midleton or Jameson 20 would be nice.

Ok, this is slightly off topic. Stating the obvious, you know why there are no temperature markings on stove controls? Its because the temperature changes a lot depending upon the size of your pan and what's in it. It would be possible but difficult to actually maintain a specific pan-temperature. Does this speak to idealist pan theism?

Re: Help! I'm stuck in politics mode! Eek!

May I suggest that one use a insect repellent with lotion?
The lotion acts to soothe the itching and burning as well as providing a lubricant to un-sticke oneself.
The repellent deters the "many blood sucking insects" and, in some cases, keeps them from bitting.

Aren't you happy that "political season" is over? I sure as h-e-double-telephone-pole am.

Now we have to look forward to Christmas Shopping Season. *silent scream*

It'll be interesting....with the corporations are people to and super pacs.... They still have a ton of money...and the only way to keep getting money (for both sides) is to keep the fear alive.

I predict we will be seeing regular brainwashi....I mean educational commercials designed to coerc....I mean help us see the light.

Help, my money was in my sock and it got all sweaty!!! I can't spend this money. It would be too embarrassing. Perhaps if there were someone to launder it for me?
