Re: If God was to send us a message.
what if we are all prophets .... the Hopi have a saying that the transition to the next world is the "time in which we will meet ourselves" .... the path of the night rainbow, or the lightening strike are all related to an internal search for the meaning of who we really are .... if we move the spiralling energy within up the spinal column we would conceivable reach the "altar" or center of the brain and would be able to open the pineal gland (or third eye) .... this process, through meditation or even spiritual yearning or longing, would take each of us as individuals into a new vibration or level of existing .... these are levels of higher frequencies .... and then we each enter that sacred space in which we meet g-d face to face .... at the top of the mountain .... we enter the "promised land" and the "regathering" has taken place and the "moschiach" or "messiah" has returned meaning that we have found ourselves .... what if this were possible, and what if this is the message that God sends to us .... remember who we are and we will find our true sovereignty, our freedom that we gave away long ago .... when we fell into the deep sleep .... what if we need to stop looking outside for our savior, when he/she only waits within .... then we each become the messanger and the message is simply "unconditional love" .... he hawai'i au, pohaikawahine

Prophets yes...
What is the story regarding a fish trying to identify water...I think that is the issue we have with G-d. There is nowhere we can look without seeing G-d, in him we live and breathe and have our being...

it would be good to hear GOODNEWS , and it seems that is just what is happening in all parts of the world.
And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. matthew 24;14 its all happening.

Re: If God was to send us a message.
Wow this really took some thinking about, good question.
Obviously there can be no more Prophets (well for Muslims anyway) but if we are playing 'what if', then i would like to hear the following message:
For the next 6 months every man and woman will have to walk a mile in others shoes. Every month you all trade places, so if you are rich you must be poor, if you are male you must be female, if you are black you must be white, if you are powerful you must be powerless, etc.
Then after the 6 months we would see what changes would suddenly appear in the world, how much aid would wing it's way to poor countries, how the oppressed would be free, would racism stop, etc?
Oh and I wouldn't mind hearing that from now on anyone causing violence to others would receive an electric shock!
I know I am a dreamer.
Quahom, loved the billboards post nearly fell off the chair laughing (shame you ruined it with the humiliating grovelling post - doesnt matter if it was directed to one person, you know it affects many here).
Salaam

Re: If God was to send us a message.
Muslimwoman, are you trying to put me out of work? Just because your guy said no more prophets after him never made it so anymore than the New Testament writers saying no more prophets either which would have scotched Muhammad's claims if true.
Jesus did give us this wisdom which for Abrahamic believers is hard to swallow much less follow: God is God of the living, not the dead. When we worship God as conceived by ancient men we are worshipping a god that is as dead as the men who wrote of their god as they understood Him or I should say Them to be spiritually correct.

Hee, hee well if I had know you were out there I wouldn't have said anything.
To be perfectly honest the door in my mind to future Prophets has never really closed, I never really saw G-d that way "this is it, the final one". The world keeps turning and G-d keeps watching us, so why would He abandon us to ourselves?

"Don't make me come down there"
"What part of Thou Shalt Not.... didn't you understand"
I wonder if I can translate them into Arabic well enough?

Hmmm, I don't know about that Pagan. Usually when God is ready to act, history shows (Biblical history shows, that He did something visible and unmistakable), a sign, that things were about to change.
The writing on the wall is one, the burning bush is another, the wrestling match with Jacob.
I don't know about you, but I haven't heard the trumpet of Gabriel yet...so, I'm gonna keep on keepin' on.
just a thought.
