Is this life just a perception

I heard someone talking about 'the secret beyond matter' and became curious, after doing a search for this I found a website based on this subject.

This website www.secretbeyondmatter.com which goes into great detail about the perception of reality and the percieving spirit/soul.

After reading articles on the site, I also came to the conclusion that we are just souls that are recieiving perceptions which are being created constantly at every moment. Then our souls are making choices based on these perceptions and this is what God judges us on.

Just like a dream where we feel and eat and cry etc... this life is just a perception.

For me this also makes the after life more cetain (even though I already accept this). But as this world is a perception then to move into an afterlife is just a change of perception.

Materialist always deny the unseen but then say we have a 'mind' which you cannot see or feel. This I think is a disbelievers word for soul/spirit.

Just like non-believers who always talk about 'mother nature' when what they really mean is God.

I think if they can understand that everything is just a perception, then spirituality is an easy concept to accept.

So do you think there is a 'secret beyond matter' ?

Your thoughts...

i found that site most interesting & simple to understand. seems to me that something is missing there for those who would have no sight or hearing yet they are still able to comprehend all that anyonne else can.

i think what we put into our minds is what we become, so to speak.
what we hear, watch, read & places we go. the more we do & think on something the more we become it.

life is more than a perception. it is a reality.

interesting to me, though the gray mushy brain goes back to gray mushy mud, the mind itself does not die & will live on in/as the soul of man either for eternity in my belief, or whatever God decides to do with it.

so we can fill it up with lies & garbage or we can seek for what is right & true.
even the secret beyond matter is reality. IMO

interesting.

Yes, very interesting and I mostly agree. We certainly filter reality through the lenses of cognition, personal perception, personality, cultural bias, etc. Our soul is the conscious being that watches all this go on and seeks the truth- God and Reality. However, I would also argue there is actually Reality out there as well that influences our thoughts, and although we cannot fully perceive it, we "see as through a glass darkly." So while the entire nature of Reality and God are hidden from us, we catch glimpses of them.

Of course, this all begs the question if full enlightenment is possible. Most religions, I think, would agree that the reality we perceive in everyday life is not true Reality. However, there are some who believe that an entire shift of consciousness- becoming enlightened and perceiving Reality without limitations- is possible during our lifetime.

Certainly, experiences given by God are possible that move us beyond some of the boundaries of our brains and into a realm in which we are receiving a glimpse of eternity, non-corporeality, etc.- concepts which we have no way of experiencing in ordinary life. I do not think these experiences are merely the brain generating things on its own, especially since many people experience going out-of-body before being given them. From my own experience, I believe that we have a brain and a separate mind/soul/consciousness, as Bandit says. People do have experiences during this lifetime in which the two separate and the soul observes the body/brain, then moves into a different plane of experience by itself. Generally, one finds that when the two reunite, the soul has gained an understanding that the brain cannot begin to express or comprehend. At this point, you feel in your own body the difference between the soul/mind and the brain/body, and the limited consciousness of the brain contrasted with the unlimited potential of the soul.

There was some really interesting article about how we see on newscientist and i hardly found it's link again. Here is the link

In short it is our brain that see not our eyes, and that's what newscientist investigation and the author of secret beyond matter are trying to say.

What is it that puts something in our mind?.Why we think what we think?.

Can't a perception be a reality and a reality be just a perception?

maybe in your life everything works that way. in my life i see & face reality through perception.

when someone has broken glass in there face, the reality is they have broken glass in there face & it is not just a thought or just a perception.
AND, they need to get to a REAL hospital, not just perceive a hospital.

Of a truth I perceive, this life is a reality
