Welcome back, citizenzen.

A more proper term for majority rules is populism. Democracy protects the rights of the minority.

Populism was the force behind Jesus being crucified. Pilate wanted to do the right thing and spare Jesus, but the crowd called out for his death.

from the article

Many extremists in northwest Pakistan favour the exceptionally strict brand of Sharia the Taleban imposed in Afghanistan before the US invasion in 2001, where female education and music were banned. The Swat Taleban have declared a ban on girls’ education.
Things arnt as single layered as they seem. It seems that Pak Armed forces were using Govt School buildings, so these were blown up. As far as Afghanistan is concerned, nobody exactly knows what was happening there. If taliban had allowed US businesses to operate (loot) in Afghanistn, we would have been told that they are the good guys, just like the mujahideen before them. I have got no idea if schools were blown up in Afghanistan or not, or if they were, then why. I have seen all kinds of news, so dont give me a link.

Music & internet was definitely banned, & thats stupid.

The guy was found "conspiring against the state". How do you think a democracy would have dealt with him?

Pilate, the Governor, could find nothing that Jesus had done wrong. (Mark 15:14)
It was the clerics, rather than the Governor, who accused him and called for his death.
See Mark 14:53-65 and Mark 15:1-15

How many democracies are run by clerics?

I have nothing against Gays however why same sex couples would want to partake in the heterosexual institution of marriage and be bound by all the cultural baggage that goes with it is beyond me

Got any examples, and/or numbers on that?

I'll go do some research. Iran is run by clerics, but I'm not sure that it can rightfully be called a "democracy."

Man... Sharia or not, my damn country ain't changing for anyone.
And shariah law? LoL... dude, there is NO LAW in Pakistan...
you can't get anyone to stop at a red light and you think your
gonna impose Shariah law??!! LMAO!!

As for it being the "end" of Pakistan, dude Pakistan
doesn't actually exist... its just there on paper. Like,
technically its a country... but everyone who lives there
is like blah... whatever. They could care less...

I can say something like "well the North West is not really
a part of Pakistan anyway
" but the fact is that most parts
of Pakistan are not really parts of Pakistan these days... (lol)
seriously though... that's not even a joke.

I swear, one of my friends just got back from there, (and he
used to be like the most optimistic person)... after a month in
Pakistan he gets back and says "screw it! there's no hope for
these people!
" (LOL!) It was hilarious! He like: EVERY SINGLE
PERSON
in Pakistan is corrupt! like society is compLEEETLY lost..

You know some people in Pakistan actually celebrate CHRISTMAS!!!
They see it on their satellite TVs and they think that its what their
suppose to do! ... its insane! People there are screwed up man...
(like... in the head)

...just like everywhere else these days I guess...
join da club then, is what i always say
