Populism was the force behind Jesus being crucified. Pilate wanted to do the right thing and spare Jesus, but the crowd called out for his death.

Things arnt as single layered as they seem. It seems that Pak Armed forces were using Govt School buildings, so these were blown up. It was the clerics, rather than the Governor, who accused him and called for his death.

however why same sex couples would want to partake in the heterosexual institution of marriage and be bound by all the cultural baggage that goes with it is beyond me

I'll go do some research. Iran is run by clerics, but I'm not sure that it can rightfully be called a "democracy."

I can say something like "well the North West is not really
a part of Pakistan anyway" but the fact is that most parts
of Pakistan are not really parts of Pakistan these days... (lol)

I swear, one of my friends just got back from there, (and he
used to be like the most optimistic person)... after a month in
Pakistan he gets back and says "screw it! there's no hope for
these people!" (LOL!) It was hilarious! He like: EVERY SINGLE
PERSON in Pakistan is corrupt! like society is compLEEETLY lost..

You know some people in Pakistan actually celebrate CHRISTMAS!!!
They see it on their satellite TVs and they think that its what their
suppose to do! ... its insane! People there are screwed up man...
(like... in the head)

...just like everywhere else these days I guess...
