Life and Morality of the Prophet?

Is it important if the Prophet led a moral life or not, is it just the message and not the messenger that counts? Would he be guilty of hypocrisy if he condemned something and yet committed that same act himself?

Please explain the interpretation of this Hadith:
The "Sahih Al-Bukhari" hadith:

Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64:

Narrated 'Aisha:

that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

Is this the truth!!! it seems to come along in many other verses of that particular hadith and the "Sahih Al-Bukhari" seems to be respected. The same accusation occurs in other Hadith too. What is the Shariah punishement for Paedophilia?

It can be found here: scroll down to find it.

Re: Life and Morality of the Prophet?

According to the thread, it was consumated at 13 - which is a pretty normal age for the time period.

So far as I can tell, girls were classed of marrying age as soon as they had their first period.

It is for this reason that some researchers suggest that Mary, mother of Jesus in the New Testament, could have been around 14 years old.

The idea of sex above the age of 16 as norm is extremely anachronistic - children were treated the same as adults in English law until late into the 19th century.

Anyway, I'm closing this thread as I fear it can serve no purpose other than to throw in veiled and misguided attacks on Islam.
