Similarities between Ezekiel's prophecies, today's Mideast reality uncanny.

In ancient times "Gog" was the name given to the land of the "Kirgan" warriors (a ruthless tribe) and "MaGog" was their home city/state/village. The Kirgan were from the Ural and Caucus mountains of what is now known as Russia, and MaGog was believed to be where the current city of Moscow resides...

Later day decendants of the Kirgan were thought to be the "Cossacks" and other Caucus tribes (hence the term "Caucasian")...

I'm not so sure the driving force will be middle easterners...

I've always equated the Gog and MaGog names with the metals Iron and Copper respectively. Don't ask me why, just a general conclusion I reached somewhere in the big pictures I found in the stuff I read at excellent librarys. That would certainly go hand in hand with the warrior tradition. Weapons, along with agricultural tools and fittings were some of the first implements made with each metal.

It's always been easier for me to understand pictures I create in my head rather than written histories retained singly. In my world they usually and eventually fit together somewhere along the line.

because Gog’s attack goes beyond an assault on human governments. It strikes out against the heavenly government of God! However, unlike humans, who may have only limited success in coping with assaults on their system, the Creator is fully capable of dealing with Gog’s more vicious attack

Well if this is interesting to you then you'll be interested to know that Gog and Magog are not the final episode. There will be a final force that comes to "mop up" the heretofore weakened armies. They allegedly come from across the Yellow river and number 200 million. They too will be wiped out, but in a single day. Can you imagine an army 200 million strong wiped out in a single day?

Currently, there is only one region that can eve come close to amassing such an army, and it ain't India or Pakistan...only China can amass such an army.

There are clues though that the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia will play a significant role in things, namely the breaking the back of the naval forces of the world (at great cost), leaving only ground forces. These countries will be spent after the Naval battles, they will be mortally wounded. Israel will be left alone to defend themselves.

Allegedly this is where God's forces directly step in, at the pass near the ancient town of Armegeddon. By the end of the day, the carrion will be picking at the bones of the dead soldiers, and to them it will be a feast.

Prior to that, plagues must occur and 1/3rd of the world's population must die. A leader must spring forward and take control of the entire world (absolute control). He must be set up as a god like being. Everything is supposed to be rosy for 3 1/2 years, then go crazy for another 3 1/2 years.

This makes perfect sense, since Lucifer thinks man is nothing more than monkeys. He hates man. Destroy God's prized possession. Make them turn on eachother and annhialate to the last human.

See Devils and demons are not the strongest force on earth or in the universe. Aside from God, Man is (or corporial sentient beings, if you fancy others out there, like us). Fallen angels are simply more intelligent than we are. And all angels are only over us for a time.

The problems in the middle east are nothing. It is about to become very interesting times.

Well man certainly has the ability and the stupidity to do it. The arms industry would think all their birthdays had come at once. If we could just all kill each other and leave the planet for the rest of the animal kingdom that would be just fine. All we're doing in the meantime is wiping out species on a daily basis and treating the planet like a disposable toilet.

Who will these human agencies be? The Bible does not give us details, yet it does give us certain indications that can help us to identify who they will be. As world events unfold in fulfillment of Bible prophecies, we will gradually get an ever clearer picture. How does Jehovah view opposition directed toward his people during the time of final conquest? As directed actually against him and against his reigning King. Nary a lifetime has gone by since Ezekial...and certainly since Jesus, that among the living weren't those who pointed to the 'signs' and prophecied the end being imminent. And in those hundred generations of those thousand prophecies, and to the chagrin of hundreds of thousands of believers...it has not come to pass.

Today is no different, the calculators and prognosticators are interpretting the events of the day to be of biblical proportion and yet again fortelling the end is near.

Odd are our great great granchildren's great great grandchildren will run into the same stories and be having the same discussions.
