Maybe a drink of water, or a bite to eat, or companionship or amusement... it's getting fuzzy... no, wait, I see... a bowl of chili... very chunky... reheated in the microwave...

Re: Prediction
Hmmmm...two to one. Dauer, since women are more intuitive than men (as we all well know), I'm listening to them.
Guess we'll all have to wait till tomorrow.
Come to think of it, I did have a very wise person tell us to watch out for the creature from the black lagoon. I don't think that he was joking either.
flow....

lol Awesome....
(if they need help making up the numbers, I can give them a hand... How are we to kill them? Like shall I make it rain sulphuric acid? Or just starvation? Plague? Guns? Blades? Natural disaster?)

Re: Prediction
Well, I don't really know how useless this is, but in regard to bad things happening, and in conjunction with the number 22,000, I ran across the following. On second thought, it may actually be useless, since the story ran in 2004. I'm sure the matter has been resolved since then.

Re: Prediction
I know my post was out of character. But, 22,000 people die each day. Due to extreme poverty.
I find that shocking.

How do I say this without sounding completely terrible??
22k die in poverty every day....yet the stats below show us creating more life at twice the rate we loose it...I don't know about other nations but in the US those in poverty...those with less education create more children than those middle income educated..
So how do we reverse the trend? The answer does not appear to be feeding the poor as then they reproduce more poor... We need to figure out how to educate and empower the poor, the impovershed...
back to teach a man to fish....

Frankly I think that if we can feed them we should feed them. You can't be educated or empowered if you are speinding all of your energy and time trying to get enough calories to last one more day. That's the type of poverty that claims the 22,000 each day.

By the way, I heard this stat second hand in a sermon about an economist who helps countries trying to fix their economies, not just throwing money at the problem.
Right now, for pretty much the first time in history, it is in our abilities to prevent these deaths. And it does not call for a large individual sacrifice...it's very very small sacrifice on the part of many people.

Re: Prediction
I predict that in the next week President Bush will say something really, really dumb, G-d will be used as an excuse to kill and I will eat one too many cream cakes. I wonder if I will turn out to be psychic? (I tend to have as much intuition as a boiled egg).
