Prison for Non-Believers!!!

I am wondering what people's opinions are of the case of British historian David Irvine who was recently found guilty and sent to prison for 3 years by an Austrian court for claiming that the holocaust never happened.

He made this claim 18 years ago and today he has publicly stated that he was wrong and that millions of Jews were killed in what he calls "The Jewish Tragedy"

Personally I am of the opinion that verdict this is a terrible violation of free speach and I was shocked to find that this is a crime in many European countries.

At a time when we we in the west are constantly shouting "FREE SPEACH" at muslims who protest against "those cartoons", we seem to be showing a definite double standard.

(For the record, I do believe that the holocaust happened)

Anyone have an opinion?
