rebirth vs. reincarnation
Over in the Alternative section there's a thread on reincarnation, in which Vajradhara brings up the point that the Buddhist idea of rebirth is different from the Hindu idea of reincarnation. I know that in their entirety these are both very complex concepts, but is there someone who'd care to take a stab at explaining the difference(s) to me? I know a bit about Hinduism, enough to at least follow an intelligent conversation, if not necessarily have one
 , but my knowledge of Buddhism is fairly limited and superficial.
