Royal Invitattion to attend Diamond Anniv.

WHEN Fidelma Meehan gets up this morning, she will be dressing in her best clothes and heading to London.

Fidelma is one of the guests who received a royal invitation to attend the diamond wedding anniversary of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
She will be the national representative of the Baha'i faith at the service in Westminster Abbey.

"It is a great honour to be invited and to be the representative of the UK's Baha'i community," she said.

"The Baha'i' faith has links to the royal family through Queen Victoria and her grand-daughter Marie, who went on to be Queen of Romania."
Fidelma, who works at the Baha'i Projects Office, in Milton Road, is no stranger to being among royal company.
