Re: Share with me... :D
the real solution to mankind’s problems is Christ’s Millennial Reign, which will truly usher in a golden age for humankind.
A better world is near, much better than we ever dreamed. It is not a Utopia—it will be a reality!
and the bible is the book to learn all about it

Re: Share with me... :D
I guess for a jw point of view yeah :P
But I am more interested in looking at the golden age of religions. Meaning the start where it was all hunkey dorey(sp).... And then alas! drama something went wrong and the world isn't how it was when the religion began..
Example I guess for christanity it would be Adam and Eve, eternal life and hooray paradise and what not... So kind of looking to the other religions to see what their golden age was.

I'm a Unity member, I'd say for New Thought churches hunky dorie golden age is right now. The movement is steadily growing, the disallusioned from various religions coming over and gaining a metaphysical understanding of scripture. Some go back with the new understanding and can now stand what they couldn't stand before. Others stay reveling in Heaven and Hell being a personal choice here and now. Realizing personal responsibility for their world, giving up blame, knowing that a change in scenery first requires a change in perception and in mind. Yes, my golden age is right now. Not waiting for anything, not regretting missed out, remember be here now. Be the change, what's not to like?

The Golden Age of the Baha'i Faith is in the future. Right now we're in what we call the Formative Age.

We look forward to the Most Great Peace when all nations are united and everyone of every religion is at peace and works together for the common good. Love and unity are central to the Baha'i Faith and what we look forward to the most is the acceptance of all humanity of our oneness, the universal acceptance of the oneness of mankind, when everyone sees all nations and religions as friends.

You're welcome!
And yes, Snoopy, it is now. Right now.... and now... and now. All the time
Formative Age... This age is a transition between the Heroic Age and the Golden Age. The Heroic Age was when over twenty thousand followers of the Bab, the Forerunner of Baha'u'llah, were killed just for being Babis. (Babi means a follower of the Bab.) The Formative Age includes the spread of the Baha'i Faith to every part of the world and the spread of the principles of the Faith among people no matter what religion, such as the equality of men and women, the elimination of prejudice whether racial, religious, or political, the harmony of science and religion, the oneness of mankind, "the earth is but one country and mankind its citizens..." The Formative Age sees the unfolding of the Lesser Peace, when there is a kind of peace between nations that was never seen before, but is still far short of the Most Great Peace in the future. The United Nations is an example of what needed to unfold in the Formative Age but it's still short of the Most Great Peace... There are two processes going on right now, we believe. One is the dying of the old order of things, the dying of the old prejudices and old ways between nations when nations did whatever they wanted to other nations regardless. Now nations have to consider the rest of the world when interacting even with their neighbors. The other process is the birth of a new world order, a new united world where all nations see each other as friends, all religions get along peacefully, all are united in love and unity... this second process will, in the future, lead to the Golden Age.
