Submit -v- Surrender
For Q
The brother of Jesus, James states "That is why scripture says: God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble, Submit yourselves, then, to GOD" James 5:6-7 And so it is considered that it is those that submit one's human will completely that is considered to be truly humble in GOD's eyes. The dictionary says: To yield, resign, or surrender to power, will, or authority. How many times or passages in the bible mention the words submit? being love Kim xx |

To submit is to wilfully accept the athority of another over one. To surrender is to give up, quit. There is a huge difference between the two. Webster got it wrong. The Bible did not.
