Jehovah God no longer uses litral jews as a nation . but that does not mean that some litral jews have not become spiritual jews because they did . the 144,000 are from all nations they are circumsized in their hearts not the flesh
And some of those having insight will be made to stumble, in order to do a refining work because of them and to do a cleansing and to do a whitening, until the time of [the] end; because it is yet for the time appointed time daniel 11;35 yes it is my belief in line with the bible that those having insight will be made to stumble and this has happened and it leaves the best in place only the best will endure
(Matthew 10:22) And YOU will be objects of hatred by all people on account of my name; but he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.
(Revelation 2:10) Do not be afraid of the things you are about to suffer. Look! The Devil will keep on throwing some of YOU into prison that YOU may be fully put to the test, and that YOU may have tribulation ten days. Prove yourself faithful even to death, and I will give you the crown of life
But who will be putting up with the day of his coming, and who will be the one standing when he appears? For he will be like the fire of a refiner and like the lye of laundrymen malachi 3;2
(Daniel 12:10) Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined. And the wicked ones will certainly act wickedly, and no wicked ones at all will understand; but the ones having insight will understand
(Zechariah 13:9) And I shall certainly bring the third [part] through the fire; and I shall actually refine them as in the refining of silver, and examine them as in the examining of gold. It, for its part, will call upon my name, and I, for my part, will answer it. I will say, ‘It is my people,’ and it, in its turn, will say, ‘Jehovah is my God.

The problem with this is that most Christians think of Jesus as the SON of GOD, and the SON of MAN. He is both. Yet He was before we ever existed. Jesus is the Word of God (Logos), hence has been forever.
In the beginning was the "Word", and the world was without form...
That is pretty concrete stuff concerning the beginning of Jesus.

Jesus Christ
Definition: The only-begotten Son of God, the only Son produced by Jehovah alone. This Son is the firstborn of all creation. By means of him all other things in heaven and on earth were created. He is the second-greatest personage in the universe. It is this Son whom Jehovah sent to the earth to give his life as a ransom for mankind, thus opening the way to eternal life for those of Adam’s offspring who would exercise faith. This same Son, restored to heavenly glory, now rules as King, with authority to destroy all the wicked and to carry out his Father’s original purpose for the earth. The Hebrew form of the name Jesus means "Jehovah Is Salvation"; Christ is the equivalent of the Hebrew Ma·shi´ach (Messiah), meaning "Anointed One
Jesus—A Godlike One; Divine
Joh 1:1—"and the Word was a god (godlike; divine)"

Hi mee. You didn't answer my question about Christ becoming King in 1914 and how you arrived at that " scripturally". Was He not born the King of Israel?
Zephaniah 3:15 Jehovah hath turned aside thy judgments, He hath faced thine enemy, The king of Israel, Jehovah, [is] in thy midst, Thou seest evil no more.
John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith to him, `Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the king of Israel.'
Mark 15:32 The Christ! the King of Israel--let him come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe;' and those crucified with him were reproaching him.
Jeremiah 31: 31 Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Jehovah, And I have made with the house of Israel And with the house of Judah a New Covenant, ...............33 For this [is] the covenant that I make, With the house of Israel, after those days, An affirmation of Jehovah, I have given My law in their inward part, And on their heart I do write it, And I have been to them for God, And they are to me for a people.

if you are not aware of the scriptual date 1914 then maybe you have not looked into bible chronology and prophecy ,Jesus has a faithful slave class MATTHEW 24;45-47who is recieving spiritual food at the right time ,this is the only channel that Jesus is using to give out good spiritual food, but we have got to be humble enough to listen to and recieve the good spiritual food from this class ,if we want to have accurate knowledge of the bible in these last days . that is what i believe to be the true channel and anyone can get understanding if they want to ,i know i did and now i am full to the brim. why dont you do what i did and listen to that channel then you would not have to ask how do you get to that date, you would know. and yes i agree Jesus was born to be a king , and he is , he is the king of Gods heavenly kingdom in the heavens Daniel 2;44

Again, please explain 1914 to me and is that strictly a JW's view? If so, I will pass on joining them in this false biblical prophecy, as I do all other historicist dating of prophecies, such as "1948" being a fulfilled prophecy [though I myself do not], so how do you go about setting a date when the Bible tells us not to [though Daniel 12 does give us a certain amount of days here]. thanks.
daniel 12: 12 "Blessed [is] he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. 13 "But you, go [your way] till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days."

bible prophecy always comes true and it certainly has come true in these last days, you are right to say noone knows the date of Armageddon only Jehovah knows that ,even Jesus and the angels do not know that date, but Jesus coming into kingdom power was right on time inline with bible chronology and prophecy
And as for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of [the] end. Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant. daniel 12;4.................and it has , true knowledge has become abundant for those who kept awake ,only the faithful slave class have true knowledge because it has been revealed to them , they are Gods people and Jehovah reveals many things to his faithful ones
We are privileged to live in "the time of the end" foretold in the book of Daniel. As prophesied, many faithful ones have ‘roved about’ in the pages of God’s Word. The result ,With Jehovah’s blessing, true knowledge has become abundant. The faithful anointed Witnesses of Jehovah have been blessed with insight enabling them to understand that the Son of man became King in 1914, the only way to know is to listen to them ,but if we make up our minds that they are false before even going to them we will never know will we
How remarkable already the fulfillment of Zechariah 8:23 the faithful class are all spiritual jews and God is with them and thats where i have gone, because God is with them

well believe it or not it has a lot to do with it because the resurrection of those who will be going to heaven to rule with christ started to happen shortly after 1914

Hi mee. Are you talking about a resurrection of the living and dead started happening after 1914? All I want you to do is show me verses from the Scriptures that you use to come to this conclusion so our Faith will not be "overthrown".
Quote:
2 Timothy 2:18 who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some.
2 Thessalonians 2:2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.
|
Perhaps you are using this to show the Kingdom of Christ started then? Paul receives His crown on that day also. Was there a Wicked one that was "consumed" back in 1914? Somehow millions missed this event?
2 Timothy 4:1 I charge [you] therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing[#2015] and His kingdom:...... 8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing [#2015].
2 thess 2:8 And then shall that Wicked/lawless/Transgressor[#459] be revealed[#601], which the Lord shall consume[#355] with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness[#2015] of his coming[#3952]:

Literal translation from Greek to English:
"In beginning was the Word, The the Word was with "the" God, and God was "the" Word. This one was in the beginning with "the" God. All through Him came into being, and without Him came into being not even one. "The" created in Him life was, and "the" life was the light the people, and "the" light in "the" darkness shines, and "the" darkness him not grasped."
I know this is off the subject, but I wished to clear something up.
I just looked through several of my Bibles (New International Version, Latin Vulgate, King James...), and they all state that the Word was God.
Next I went to the original Greek (which is similar to Russian which I understand).
In order to read, one must understand the alphabet of the language. One must also understand the particulars of that language, such as syntax, and other peculiarities such as whether the language uses articles.
Like Russian, Greek has a definite article 'the', however Greek does not use the indefinite article 'a' or 'an', but will use 'tis'
'Theos' vs. 'Theon'
"The same Greek word is used in both occurrences of the word "God" in John 1:1. This same word is used in many contexts, whether it refers to the Only True God or whether it is referring to a false god - such as a man-made god (1 Cor. 8:5) or Satan as the ‘god of this age’ (2 Cor. 4:4). The apparent differences in spelling between the word ‘God’ in the phrase ‘and the Word was God’ (‘theos’) and in other places, (even in the previous phrase, ‘and the Word was with God’ (‘theon’)) is due to inflection in the Greek language. Each Greek noun normally has 8 or 9 forms (cases & number) in which it can appear. In the first instance in John 1:1 it is the object of preposition and thus is in the accusative case. In the phrase in question, it is in the nominative case (indicating the subject or predicate nominative - equal to the subject). But it is the same word for ‘God’, and in both phrases here indicates the One and Only True God. So the apparent difference is spelling is not because ‘theos’ is a different word than ‘theon’, but is a different form of the identical word.
"In certain instances, when the Greek omits a definite article, it may be appropriate to insert an indefinite article for the sake of the English translation and understanding. But we cannot assume that this is always appropriate. Greek does not operate in the same way as English does in regard to the use of the words ‘the’ and ‘a’. In many instances in which English would not include the word ‘the’, the Greek text includes it. (We don’t see it in the English translations because it would sound non-sensible in our language.) And in many cases where the Greek omits the definite article, the English translation requires it to convey the correct meaning of the Greek. Therefore it cannot be assumed that if the definite article is absent, then an indefinite article should be inserted. (For a clear illustration of this, see Furthermore, even though the Greek language does not have an ‘indefinite article’ like we think of in English, there is a way in Greek for the writer to indicate the indefinite idea and thus avoid confusion. This is done in Greek by using the Greek indefinite pronoun ‘tis’.
"In John 1:1 there is no definite article in front of the word ‘God’ in the phrase, ‘and the Word was God’. However, in this instance, it cannot just be assumed that the word ‘God’ is meant to be ‘indefinite’, and therefore an indefinite article used in the English translation. Because the first use of the word ‘God’ in John 1:1 (‘the Word was with God’) clearly refers to the Only True God, the Eternal Pre-existent Creator, more than likely John would have used a different Greek construction than he did if he had meant for this next phrase (‘and the Word was God’) to refer to a ‘lesser’ god, and did not want us to confuse this with the True God he had just mentioned. If John meant to avoid confusion, when making such a definitive statement, he could have done so by using this ‘indefinite pronoun’ (‘tis’) as an adjective. This would have made it clear that the Word was ‘a certain god’, but not the one he was just referring to. For examples of this, see the verses Mark 14:51, Luke 8:27, Luke 1:5, and Luke 11:1 (among many, many other examples). So, it seems that by the Greek grammatical structure in this statement, John is indicating that the Word (Jesus Christ - John 1:14) is the same essence and nature as God the Father."
Second of all, Yeshua (The actual Hebrew/Aramaic pronunciation), means 'Salvation'. It is also a derivative of Joshua, but there is no English equivelent for Yeshua. Christ, (which is the English translation of the Greek 'Khristos'), means 'Annointed'.

post 32 in the Transfigaration thread is one line of evidence .i am feeling lazy to day and cant be bothered to write it out again, but of coarse that is only one line of evidence, and moderators dont like me talking about the 1914 date on this thread, and sometimes i am a bit confused when you quote verses which dont seem to be in context, but maybe that is just me i am a bit thick
