is smoking dope considered as a sin in any of the religions? as far as ive known thats not considered as sin in islam. am i correct? or we can generalize the idea of having mindblowers them all as sin?

Yes smoking dope is prohibited in Islam. It is the same as drinking alcohol, it changes how your mind works. Anything that can affect the mind is forbidden, as it takes your mind away from Allah and can lead you into sin (because you become more relaxed and less concerned about your modesty).

Well that seems to scare everyone for some reason!!

I can't disagree with you more..... The only time I feel some kind of divine presence is when I am up to the eyeballs in drugs...... Seriously... There is nothing like it... I feel grace, favour, glory...... I feel blessed... I feel as there is this presence... And it descends upon me.... And wraps around me, this invisible force yet fuzzy, it is strong yet soft.... It is firm yet fair... It surrounds me... I have no where to run no where to go, not that I wish to however... Because it is like a magnet it DRAWS you to it... It is suttle yet DEMANDS attention........ Every corner, every nook and cranny it is there... And it has descended down to me.... And it gives me this warm embrace.... And it ain't ever letting go.... It says "17... I am here for you son... I got your back." This feeling is amazing... That leaves a tear in the eye.... It leaves your jaw open wide in awe... It is amazing..... Every breath... Every second from that second on, it is within you.... You ask me, you ask me at that very moment is there a god? I would smile and say "You bet your boots mister...." How can I be any further away from god at that point or at this point? Where you ask me is there a god I would probally laugh, but to not insult you I wouldn't mention that in my post lol..... I would simply say no... Although in states of high... I would say in states of normality, I am considering that option..... Just when My feelings and sesnes are enhanced can I appreciate whatever it is that is there.

Sorry just thought I would post an honest post... I normally wouldn't admit that to anyone but myself lol..... But that is how I feel....... *shrugs*

I believe many Sufi Muslims would agree with you.

For me the difference is 'what is real?'. If I smoked drugs I may also suggest that I believe in fairies, elephants are flying around the room and free love is the way forward. However, once the drugs had worn off I would see that it was purely the drugs making me think this way.

Islam see's submission to G-d as a very serious matter (hence the inability of most Muslims to joke about faith), this means that we must submit to Allah with a clear head and full knowledge of our committment to Him.

Yea, I know what you are saying... But, I do tons of things like that... Things I believe that are obviously drug enhanced... When normal... I can see that that is all it is... But, there is something else you know to this particular feeling...... Everything if you think is boosted... Touch, taste, hearing, smell and so on.... I can't deny things sometimes.... Most, pretty much all lol is nonsense... But, yeah.... A few things you cannot dismiss..... You know in some parts it is known as the plant of wisdom? That it opens "something" up to you..... Hmmm... Anyway, I can't dismiss the feeling I get... Everthing else yeah lol... But this is so intense.... Heh. EVEN! Even if it isn't.... You begin to draw from that and want m more detail and crave information for this as you do while stoned lol... It is going to encourage the reading of X Holy book.... isn't it? Does that not bring knowledge? Things I have learnt while stoned... I can remember clear as light.
