wil,
i do not care how old the earth is.
i repeat, i do not care how old the earth is.
i said the people places & events.
there are many 'things' that i do not take literal. GOT IT?
dont try to tell me what to take literal & what not to.
you choose for you & i will choose for me.
recall what you said earlier? it makes it so for them, but not for all so stick to that.

i wonder what he was waiting for then, the book of revelation is for our day, and speaks of the (Lords day ) revelation 1;10 . the Lords day is the time that Jesus was given the kingship the time when he would go forth amidst his enemies
Never again will the Gentile world powers trample on that Davidic kingdom, for never will they be able to trample upon the "heavenly Jerusalem." This situation has been true since the Gentile Times ended in 1914, at which time the heavenly kingdom was born.—Rev. 12:1-5.
(Daniel 7:14) And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin.
(Revelation 14:14) And I saw, and, look! a white cloud, and upon the cloud someone seated like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand

just so you know, this conversation is not a doctrine, it is only a conversation.

A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place." (Revelation 1:1a) i would say that Jesus reveals things to those who are doing the work that he gave them to do ,as we can see from this verse he said to show his slaves the things that will shortly take place . yes Jesus has slaves doing his will ,and did not Jesus say that he would also give more responsibility to his slaves
Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so. 47 Truly I say to you He will appoint him over all his belongings matthew 24;45-47......... yes, i do believe that there is a faithful slave class of people on the earth , and i also believe that things about Jesus and his kingship , are being made known through this faithful people , God always works through faithful ones to reveal his purpose,
And as for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of [the] end. Many will rove about, and the [true] knowledge will become abundant Daniel 12;4
for me i find these last days to be so thrilling a time to be living in, it is all coming togeather and being revealed just as the bible tells us it would . the only thing i can say is , let him who has ears , hear .
I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, because all the things I have heard from my Father I have made known to YOU .John 15;15 .........

there is nothing in the bible that says Jesus had to wait to take the throne.

for me i find the book of revelation has a lot to do with the birth of this kingdom in the heavens ,as you and i know , the book of revelation is full of signs and symbols, in chapter 12 verse 1-5 it speaks about the birth of Gods kingdom. The understanding about the book of revelation is for these last days
And a great sign was seen in heaven, a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon was beneath her feet, and on her head was a crown of twelve stars, and she was pregnant. And she cries out in her pains and in her agony to give birth........... rev 12 ;1-2 .....this woman is about to give birth to Gods kingdom
And another sign was seen in heaven, and, look! a great fiery-colored dragon, with seven heads and ten horns and upon its heads seven diadems; and its tail drags a third of the stars of heaven, and it hurled them down to the earth. And the dragon kept standing before the woman who was about to give birth, that, when she did give birth, it might devour her child. ..rev..12;3-4 ..... here in verse 4 you can see that the dragon , who i think you realize is satan the devil, is ready to devour this kingdom because as we know satan is always opposed to Gods purpose. he will do what ever he can to get rid of this kingdom. but no worries, because this male child , which is the kingdom ,who the woman gives birth to , is caught away to God and to his throne .no longer can this kingdom be devoured because it has Gods protection now , nothing and nobody can touch this kingdom because it has Gods protection and it is in heaven not on the earth. yes the birth of the kingdom was in heaven , and it happened in these last days . the book of revelation tells us many things about Gods kingdom in these last days
since the running out of the Gentile Times in 1914. The Gentile nations here on earth may oppose the Kingdom and its proclaimers, but they cannot touch it. They cannot dominate it, as once did the last five world powers of world history, namely Babylonia, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and the Anglo-American world power of Britain and the United States.—Revelation 21:1, 2. yes the kingdom now rules, but do we recognize that kingdom. i know that i do .

All of it.. Im convicted of it as truth.
The only time I do not take it literally is when the term or like is used to describe something else just like any other written metaphor.
I believe that ppl like myself and Bandit are lucky.. we have been given a large measure of faith and are not swayed by what the world thinks or what it decides is truth.
2Ti 3:12-16 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,,

Re: The Transfiguration
You lost me Q.. but then again you've been losing me a lot. I was not backhandedly saying anything at all.. He asked whether I take the whole bible literally and emphatically I say yes. It gets a bit tiring to have everyone be so amazed and question that anyone in this day can take the bible literally.. there are those of us that do. Its a form of persecution whether its recognized as such or not.

LOL
it is so true & i know well what that feels like today. it was not like this even 20 years ago. aint that odd? like everyone just got so smart over night that the bible means nothing. woo hoo! look at me I am smart.
it is like you read what you want & i will read what i want & believe it the way i want. & if you dont like it, too bad.
I am going from Adam to the Great White throne. & i think the throne will literally be great & white. (that is as in pure, not literally painted white)
woo hoo! i am smart.

Re: The Transfiguration
Six days before the transfiguration, Jesus told his followers: The Son of man is destined to come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will recompense each one according to his behavior. These words would be fulfilled at the conclusion of the system of things.Jesus further stated: Truly I say to you that there are some of those standing here that will not taste death at all until first they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. (Matthew 16:27, 28; 24:3; 25:31-34, 41; Daniel 12:4) The transfiguration took place in fulfillment of these latter words
