The Voice of My Beloved

this is my favorite of all of Solomons writings. it prepares me for winter and gives me that hope for the promise of spring as it also prepares and keeps that oath between the bride the bridegroom when Jesus will take us home and forever to abide with him.
there are some nice renditions in music and vocals.
I like this version and translation best.

A Song of Solomon

The voice of my beloved!
behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.

My beloved is like a roe or a young hart:
behold, he standeth behind our wall,

he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice.
My beloved spake, and said unto me,
Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.

For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of the singing of birds is come,

and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
The fig tree putteth forth her green figs,
and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell.

Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

Good Bandit

Funny when I need advice I can always find wisdom from Solomon even some of what we would consider simple things I will Give you a couple I find funny but very very true to this day.

Pr 27:14He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.
I take it being woke up when you wanted to sleep in was a bad deal then too.

Pr 26:17He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.
Hummm Minding ones own buisness now that is wisdom of course so is not messing with strange dogs

One that sadly I have found much truth in and always seems to happen to me
Pr 23:4Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.Pr 23:5Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven
My Money flies off as quick as I get it lol

Yes true wisdom simple to the point I love to set down and enjoy Solomon thanks again for sharing.
