.Regarding the reference to "this generation" at Luke 21:32, Professor Joel B. Green notes: "In the Third Gospel, ‘this generation’ (and related phrases) has regularly signified a category of people who are resistant to the purpose of God. . . . [It refers] to people who stubbornly turn their backs on the divine purpose.".......................

Re: this generation

that faithless and crooked generation did not pass away before all those things Jesus spoke about happened,
A "faithless and twisted generation," egged on by its religious leaders, played a key part in bringing about the death of the Lord Jesus Christ,Yes faithless religious leaders persuaded the crowds to have Jesus impaled,
What, then, is the "generation" so frequently referred to by Jesus in the presence of his disciples? What did they understand by his words: "This generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur"? Surely, Jesus was not departing from his established use of the term "this generation," which he consistently applied to the contemporary masses with their "blind guides" who together made up the Jewish nation. (Matthew 15:14) "This generation" experienced all the distress foretold by Jesus and then passed away in an unequaled "great tribulation" on Jerusalem.—Matthew 24:21, 34 the major fullfillment of this prophecy is now happening in this the last days, the great tribulation is nearly here, are we putting our trust in the established heavenly kingdom goverment with Jesus as king of it .Daniel 2;44 this heavenly kingdom with Jesus as the rightful heir to the throne fullfills bible prophecy and chronology ,just as Jesus back in his day fullfilled all the prophecies but was rejected by the religious leaders , so it is the same regarding bible prophecy and chronology in this time of the end , so called religious leaders do not put their trust in the only way to peace Isaiah 9;6-7 Jesus is now a reinging king, he was made king of Gods kingdom in 1914 , are we faithless like the religious leaders in Jesus day , or are we welcoming this king with a great crowd from all nations .........revelation 7;9-10
After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: "Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb."......................welcoming Jesus as the king of Gods heavenly kingdom is the only way to be saved .
"These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation, revelation 7;13 the end of false religion is near.
Today, "the great day of Jehovah . . . is near, and there is a hurrying of it very much." (Zephaniah 1:14-18; Isaiah 13:9, 13) Suddenly, at Jehovah’s own predetermined "day and hour," his fury will be unleashed upon the world’s religious, political, and commercial elements, together with the wayward people who make up this contemporary "wicked and adulterous generation." (Matthew 12:39; 24:36; Revelation 7:1-3, 9, 14)
