i suppose that it could be if it was defined as such but that is not really how i understand it nor the term that i would use in this case. i would choose a term more akin to confidence.

i typically use the term trust to refer to interpersonal relationship aspects and use terms like confidence to refer to the firmness of my acceptance regarding particular nonpersonal phenomena though i can be confident regarding particular aspects of a beings character.
