Tsunami up close and personal

This story touched me today - CNN reports on a Canadian couple who were killed in the Tsunami, and whose broken camera was found and the memory card recovered with the images intact:

Click on the link "Recovered Tsunami Images" partly down to the right, for a sequence of 5 pics, including one of the smiling couple on the beach earlier.

Yep. That's quite some determination, when faced with a Tsunami, to stand there and take pictures up until the moment when it's literally upon you.

i have watched the atlantic and pacific ocean quite a bit too, but i dont think i would have recognized that wave was different either, until it was right upon me.
