Wal-Mart Intelligence Agency?

Here's a scary development to look into:
Wal-Mart Stores has been recruiting former military and government intelligence officers for a branch of its global security office aimed at identifying threats to the world's largest retailer, including from "suspect individuals and groups." ... whole article

Are you freakin kidding me!

Wal Mart is a crazy, consumeristic (even a word?), local business sucking plague.

Amy shakes her head in disbelief...

Yeah, like Starbucks and Macdonalds (I'm happy to say I don't even know which is the correct spelling!) and Coke and Budweiser and wait...

...I'm spotting a trend....

Re: Wal-Mart Intelligence Agency?

If we are to look at trends in this area, I would like to submit that some of the very corporations that are considered "good" by so many, at least here in the States, simply because they close on Sundays or have a daily morning devotional, or speak out against companies like "Wally World", do not necessarily have clean hands, either. I have worked for them. No, I won't name any. Why? I signed a piece of paper in order to become an employee, and they can enforce it, if that tells you anything.

But the next time you think that that doe-skin covered Bible is so pretty, think again....

You mean they've got you down as "InLove"? How weird is that?!!

I don't think I'd put "corporations" and "good" in the same sentence unless it also included the word "no".

What's with the pretty Bible thing then? (PM me if it's too scary )

Re: Wal-Mart Intelligence Agency?

LOL, Snoop--scary? I dunno. I know I sound a little crazy (so what else is new?) But believe it or not, there are people there who know who I am via old communications. And they are not friendly! No time to PM at the moment, but maybe I will slip it into a future letter.

Felt good to get that much off my chest, though!

the good thing about a small town... i am no longer tempted by the flashing displays of GAP and M.A.C. and Pier One, or the quick coffee yummiesness of a mocha-loca-caremelicious-venti-coffee-surpriso...
