The possible 2007 movie is probably going to be a re-cast of the 'original' (kirk) star trek and directed by the guy who gave us Alias- can't remember his name). The big clue being the teaser poster-an original series badge-and that Matt Damon has been mentioned as being a good choice to play Kirk(not definate though)
joss Whedon (Buffy, Angel and the excelent Firefly/Serenity) has been mentioned as a writer involved but nothing definate.

You're right. In "All Good things" is the last series episode of Next Gen. In Nemesis (the last movie), Data sings "Blue Skies", as a wedding gift to the new "Rykers". In the end Shinzon (Picard's clone) is killed, Ryker takes out the Viceroy and Data sacrifices himself to save Picard and Enterprise. B-4 starts humming to himself in Picard's Cabin, and it "Blue Skies". Picard realizes Data is locked somewhere in B-4's positronic neural network (flawed as it is).

That's it-but you forgot Deanna's driving-2nd time a woman gets behind the 'wheel' of the Enterprise, 2nd time it hits something (first time being in Generations- I mean, how could she have missed an entire planet... oh, she didn't) I'm getting out of here before I get mobbed for that.lol

Oh no, my friend--you cannot introduce such a gauntlet and get off that easy! This can mean only one thing, of course....
I must review the situation (meaning I must catch up on the history of this mythology). Then I shall return and quite possibly lead the mob. But since I don't condone lynching, we may have to be more creative about things. Engage....

Stop it, flow! Just stop it. Where's my fan?
On a less (whew, it's warm in here!) fantastical note, have you seen Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) lately? Wow.
Some pics and a little info--I knew she was a singer and dancer as well as an actress, but I didn't realize her ongoing interest in space travel. But it would make sense.
STARTREK.COM : Biography
I noticed on the site that the spelling of the character's name is actually like I have typed it above. I thought it was "Ahura". Actually, I think that was the spelling I found on another S.T. site (can't find it at the moment). Anyway, spelled with an "A", the name can actually be associated with Zoroastrian mythology. Hmmm....
Yep--guess I really am a trekkie at heart.

Re: What Movies Have You Seen Recently?
As I said...a real foxy lady...even if she did have Zoroastrian connections. After all they're the culture from Persia that sent the three wise men to Bethlehem.
My 2nd was friends with a guy that wrote two or three of the original series' scripts...or at least the story line for them. Then he moved on to the big money in the late 60's/early seventies porn film biz.
Cold shower anyone ?
flow....

Re: What Movies Have You Seen Recently?
Smokin Aces...if you like shootem ups and ensemble casts and multiple story lines culminating and building to a crescendo like an orchestra but without the conductor...you'll like this movie. Oh and there is quite a bit of "huh?" in it as well.

Godzilla appearing is a predictable move? I am not into air force films, (being in the army.... an all.) but I have to watch this to see if I can predict whatever it is that isn't predictable... ;/

"Nyota Uhura" is Swahili for Morning Star...and that was the name of the Communications officer. That was the creativity and subtlety of Gene Rodenberry...

Wouldn't that be "Freedom Star" literally translated?
