Most welcome, would of got around to it sooner, however I am addicted to the show weeds...
Scully, georgous? lol.... The wear and tear, and aging process shows on her, I can't imagine what she would look like with out all the make up and cover up stuff they put on actors in movies.
Not many reviews you say? Has it been out long?

Came out the week after Batman.
Kinda knew it would get buried, but I didn't think it would be quite this bad.
Sounds like a movie worth re-releasing, maybe around Christmas. But I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Re: What Movies Have You Seen Recently?
Yeah in movie/games business I know timing of release is crucial... You open up when a real big hitter is coming out, you really gotta work to get seen... You just instantly are put in the shadows. Worth waiting some times for the hype of the legend to die before coming out with your stuff.

Re: What Movies Have You Seen Recently?
It doesn't help that the series has been off the air now for a few years. Die hard fans are about the only "reliable draw." All the bored people looking to kill a couple hours in the air conditioning are gonna go crowd into the big shows. If there wasn't the stiff competition there would probably be a bigger hype for the movie.
But to Batman's credit, number one for three weeks is hard to top. They say it's on target to pass Titanic for *total* gross box office sales.

Re: What Movies Have You Seen Recently?
Picked up a couple new movies this past week;
Casino Royale, or whatever the new James Bond movie is called. Absolutely awesome opening stunt set, full of wow. This Bond is definitely different from previous Bonds, I think the producers are trying to take some of the edge off and make him more...believably human? It was good, as Bond films generally are, but it lacked a something I haven't put my finger on...
Another I picked up (finally) is one I have looked at over and over and usually put back in favor of something else. I went for it this time, and I am extremely pleased. It is an animated flick, so it's appeal is to a limited audience right there...but I do still enjoy good animation. This one did not fail to deliver.
Iron Giant. I vaguely recall some reference to it years ago, maybe a short theatrical run or something, but it is by a small independent studio rather than Disney or Pixar. I think this was a one shot wonder. How I managed to miss it all these years I really can't say. The cast includes Jennifer Aniston, Harry Connick Jr., Cloris Leachman makes a cameo appearance, and most of the rest of the cast is relatively unknown.
Except that this flick has further increased my appreciation for the talents of Vin Diesel. I mean, for so long I figured this guy was another muscle-bound photogenic Hollywood egomaniac. And I have been repeatedly shown how mistaken my first impression was, and this film continues showing me just how wrong I have been.
I cannot praise this film enough, I've watched it three times already as of this afternoon, and watched almost all of the extras included in the DVD. If you like old fashioned American animation, this is an excellent choice.

Re: What Movies Have You Seen Recently?
There is a rapper called Ice Cube... Made three films way back: 'Friday' 'Next Friday' 'Friday after next'
Funny films, however he brought out a film recenlty called 'First Sunday' Which because I found the previous three hilarious I got it. And I would say it is worth seeing for you peeps on here... Nothing like his previous three still funny and the same old actors! (which is cool cause they are funny) But the story is good..... And I saw a message, he and his bext friend 'Lee John' decide to rob a Church... And where it goes from there is anyones guess it is really funny, and suprisingly in parts which I didn't expect it is touching.

Re: What Movies Have You Seen Recently?
Just saw Daimajin again (it's from 1966.) Here's the imdb entry on it: Daimajin (1966)
Just two sentences for it: Don't anger that statue. Trust me.

Re: What Movies Have You Seen Recently?
Just saw An Eternity and a Day which is a Greek film that I saw with subtitles. Its about a Greek man who grew up in and lives in Naples, Italy. A famous author, he is nevertheless lonely since his wife is gone. When he finds out he's got cancer he puts aside his latest writing project: a poem written in Greek. He rescues an orphan from slave traders, and ponders the sweetness of life and the distance he feels from the people in whose land he lives.

Indeed, it is amazing when we consider others before self, and when we realize what a precious thing we have to use for others' benefit. I'd like to see that movie.

He's a good actor, and a thoughtful man.

Re: What Movies Have You Seen Recently?
Hej, Q,
One of the ferret delegation (and I) are curious about something. Have you seen Yomigaeru Sora Rescue Wings? If you need a link to the series online, I'll post it.
Again, we're just curious. *a smoke ferret assumes an inquisitive pose*
