Re: What music are you listening to?

The Noisettes Rule !!!!

Quite possibly the best retro-rock band since Brian Setzer and the Stray Cats in their prime ( Saw 'em live in the 80's. Better than Elvis Costello and his bunch back then I think. ), but then I've only seen the Noisettes in two technically augmented videos. I guess It's hard for me to get by live performances, or at least faithful recordings of them.. But I do think they're one of the best to come along in a while.

flow....

Hi,

Strange how people hear different things in music. I hear the offspring of Billie Holiday and Nirvana. The debut album is out early Feb followed by a tour "everywhere" !!! The USA will obviously be involved in this!!!
Got my ticket today.

official band site for the noisettes | Live

I might even throw in a little "Pretenders" influence.

Re: What music are you listening to?

My birthday was yesterday. I raided the iTunes music store. Tom Waits, jazz from Glenn Miller to Norah Jones, Billy Cobham because he rocks my socks, and a massive selection of funk.

We want the funk
Give up the funk

Re: What music are you listening to?

I just finished listening to an old Dr. Hook song, Sylvia's Mother. It always makes me cry when I hear it.
